We were looking forward to seeing the renovated motel. The Front desk clerk was pleasant. The room had plantation shutters and the mattress was comfortable. there was soap and a one time use shampoo/conditioner available. We were on the first floor and we had a small peek of the ocean which was nice. There is a gym with what looked like nice equipment,( we didnt use), hand towels and a water filling station ( which we used).
The downside: The front door had a 2 inch gap on the bottom which we stuffed with a towel . There were coffee stains (?) on one side of the bottom sheet and possibly blood (?)splatter stains on the underside of the top coverlet. PLEASE throw these out, they should NOT be in use for guests. The microwave could be cleaner and the inside back had a burned plastic area. The walls are thin and the guests that checked in next door were loud. Turning on the air conditioning/heater muted the conversation so that we could sleep.
We looked forward to having the breakfast, but, sadly, the eggs were tasteless and a funny texture, the potatoes looked grayish, and the very thin bacon slices were tasty but had a waxed paper texture. There were 3 tureens of gravy behind the eggs/bacon, and my husband hoped to put some on the biscuit, but the attendant said the gravy was not for today.
We truly wanted to give a better review, but could not this time around.
