We ended up staying at the Hotel Coral Reef last minute due to an unforeseen circumstance during our camping trip in Kauai and I am so thankful we chose here! This is a place that are now few and far between; a family owned and ran hotel. We stayed for 5 nights and couldn’t be happier! The hotel was wonderful! Beautiful pool area and beach area. Lots of seating and most with umbrella’s. Beach was awesome with chairs set up, umbrellas and even hammocks. We loved sitting there at night watching the waves come in and the sunset. Hotel was clean and well kept. We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights at the start of April 2024. We had a King Room, Pool View and we’re on the 3rd floor in the easternmost building. Cleanliness is huge for me, and this property and room was immaculate. The hotel room had flooring throughout (yay for no carpet when you’re packing sand around), and the bathroom was one of the largest I’ve seen in any standard hotel room with an awesome walk in shower. I am 29 years old, travelling with my girlfriend. This hotel is so underrated. The room was very clean and prettier than online photos may suggest. The view on the mountains was simply perfect. It has an authentic hawaiian vibe and is close to nature. The owner, Philip, as all the staff, were very friendly. The pool is clean, the breakfast is convenient. We had music shows three times. We definitely recommend!!

The hotel is nice and clean. The furniture in the rooms could stand to be updated but the bathroom was nice and the bed was comfortable. It's quiet too which is nice. The gym needs some kind of universal machine but has good cardio equipment and free weights. The lounge/lobby bar is fantastic and so is the restaurant. Most of all, the service is truly 5-star. Kauai is a go out and explore island with less resort-dedicated time but this place is worthy of your time.
