Property was at a good location to visit all areas of the island. Rooms could have been in better condition but they were nice. Some things seemed outdated. Tiki Bar had good food and good drinks. Very close to the beach, and a decent pool. Staff was cool. We were charged for parking even though our Expedia reservation stated it was included in the service charge, showed staff and they were unwilling to accommodate even though that was one of the reasons we booked.

It’s a very old property but the staff is very nice. Had to stay a couple extra days and we were previously in princeville at the Westin. Rooms are dimly lit. Ac works well so that’s good news. Koi Pond is a bit stinky down in the lobby. Pools are nice. And the bar serves very good food down at the pool.

The hotel sits next to a ancient temple grounds that has been fading throughout the years and the family swimming area has grown as much the park across the beach and some improvements have been added

Stayed in the bungalo type rooms. Great for 2 people but the pullout sofa was small and not very comfortable. I don’t recommend more than 2 adults and a one to 3 young children for these rooms. You’d be better off with 2 double beds.

Needs to be spruced up….. carpets in the room needed cleaning and the air conditioned didn’t keep the room very cool and you can’t adjust it lower…. It’s kind of muggy and musty in the room. We had to buy some spray to spray it out….. Is nothing spectacular at all, and the water was murky and it looks like it needs to be cleaned and redone hopefully needs to be painted and upgraded, especially for the price… Staff was nice….. Housekeeping was super nice and did a great job. Area down below the hotel is nice especially for sunrise. There’s a nice little beach down there, but there’s also homeless people living in their cars in the parking lot….. And they needed to be cleaned up in the morning.

The staff went above and beyond to make our first anniversary special. The food was delicious and the convenience of walking to the beach to relax as well as snorkel made our stay even more incredible. The airport and other attractions such as waterfalls, mountain tubing and shopping plazas were about ten minutes away. We will definitely be coming back for years to come!

Great location. Walk to the beach if you wanted to. There was a special music event along with dinner specials. There were at least 40 to 50 people in attendance, one server for the entire participants. Apparently two servers called in sick.I felt sorry for the server. Eventually a another person showed up, I couldn't tell if she was helping or not. Ordered dinner at 5:40 pm finally got it at 6:30. Very sad. When I commented on line hotel management indicated that they were informed of the issue(s). Bad management.

Great stay overall. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Although we were unable to reach the front desk through the hotel phone after calling several times, the staff were accessible through text and responded within a couple hours. The room and property were very clean. Our room was very comfortable. Regarding the amenities, the gym was sufficient and clean. The pool was less impressive, however. It was cold and dirty. Mamahune’s had a nice outdoor bar. There was a nice breeze every night, and the drink selection was great. The location of the hotel was convenient for exploring the entire island. It’s also right next to the water. We would stay here again.

We had a fantastic time at the hotel. We felt like the location was perfect and the views were breathtaking. The rooms aren’t extravagant, but they’re clean and have the necessities. It’s a very easy walk to Lydgate Beach. Honestly, the location couldn’t be more convenient. It’s not far from the airport and very close to restaurants and shopping in Ka’apa.

I really liked staying at the Hilton Garden Inn. They have great options for breakfast, dinner, and lunch. The rooms are spacious and can easily accommodate a small family. On this occasion, I only visited the island with my husband. You can walk to Lydgate Beach. The staff was very friendly.

Beautiful setting directly next to Lydgate Beach Park. Convenient to Lihue and Kapaa, so a great starting point for all of the epic treks on Kauai. Staff were friendly and helpful. Property itself is a bit dated, but clean and well laid out.
