Incredibly beautiful location! Gorgeous beach (a little rough for swimming in winter, not for small kids), amazing pool- the biggest in Hawaii! Staff were fantastic- everyone was friendly and helpful. Esp front desk staff, bell desk, and especially the housekeeping staff were fantastic. Room was clean, roomy, huge recently renovated bathroom and very brisk air conditioning. It is helpful to have a car to get to other locations on the island esp grocery stores and shopping. Parking is $30 a day and there are loads of taxes on hotel rooms (local taxes and charges for Kauai, resort fee, state taxes/ fees) it's going to be alot more than you think it will be so be prepared. Food at pool bar and restaurants is delicious (but pricey). Enjoyed Duke's, Portofino's (excellent pasta, salad, great service!) and the beach bar (fish tacos were fantastic! $22).
