If you like swimming, snorkeling with schools of colorful fish, and secluded sun tanning, you will love Moloa'a Beach. WHAT OUR GUESTS TELL US ABOUT SKIPPERS... In a word, it was perfect. My wife is a tough customer when it comes to interiors and she was blown away at how tasteful, relaxing, fun, and well-though-out the place was. Every time we needed something, it was there. It had a great tropical feel and the surroundings were rejuvenating, including the cats and chickens. We enjoyed being there so much that we hardly bothered to eat out and just grilled fish about every night. We watched movies and just hung out and enjoyed time as a family (we must have watched Scooby Doo and the Ghost Pirates 7 times!). When we left for the last leg of our trip, for which we stayed at the Hyatt, we were seriously sad and depressed to be leaving our home away from home. We would stay there again in a second and recommend it highly to anyone considering a vacation to Kauai--especially if they have kids and want a more relaxing atmosphere than expensive resorts & restaurants. The 3 queen sized beds were perfect for our 6 adults to sleep comfortably and more than enough space for luggage. The kitchen was fully equipped as we cooked at least one meal a day to stay on budget. I really enjoyed picking and eating fresh avocados, papayas and limes to utilize while we were there. The outdoor shower was great for cleaning the sand off after our nightly stroll down to the quite beach that was truly less than a five minute slow walk. It was clean, well stocked, clearly labeled, and absolutely delightful. Tony went above and beyond to accommodate our family and our slight vacation snafu. He was responsive and so incredibly kind. The location was exactly what we wanted (we wanted specifically away from the major touristy areas). The house was fully equipped with everything we needed down to all the beach items and toiletries. It made for an absolutely seamless trip. The house was clean and organized. The property was very well kept. We had two adults and 4 kids with us and it was aPerfect size. Tony and Jenn were easy to get a hold of and helped us out when needed. 100% would recommend (or maybe not, don’t want too many people finding this gem!). Most of the skillets need replacing, there was no stirring/scraping spatula. There was a rice cooker and crock pot and plenty of stainless steel pots. The abundance of fruit from the yards was really nice (bananas, grapefruit, limes, avocados). There were a plethora of papaya (though all green during our stay) as well and many baby mangos that will be ready in the spring and early summer. ##### Ronda D. The home was perfect for our family of 4 (mom, dad & 2 teens). Rural setting was very peaceful and quiet. Home had everything we needed. The outdoor shower was all we used, it was excellent. We drove to other beaches and sites but we knew this when we rented this house. If you want to end your day with a walk to the beach and then relax at the house without the noise of a resort or hotel this is the place to do so. All the beach supplies were available: fins, snorkels, chairs, towels. The chickens roaming the yard and the 4 cats were great. Instructions to access property and informational email from owner were excellent. Gardner even cut a banana tree for us. The listing says central A/C but we couldn't find it. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, the outdoor shower was a bonus. We enjoyed walking to the beach in the mornings and going for a hike or swimming in the bay.The Skippers was squeaky clean and well organized. The location was perfect to go both directions easily. The beach was lovely for older & younger family members. Tony had great response time & answered many questions. The outside shower......ahhhhh ♡ So many labels to keep you informed. Beds were comfy, kittys were friendly, kitchen & bath excellently stocked. Beach item were so handy and already there. The fresh avocado made amazing guacamole! The fruit trees were fun. Wish the bananas were ripe. We felt bad leaving a full fridge but I hear it will be used! Thank you so much.
