We were comfortable and loved the neighborhood coffee shop named Coffee House Too. We easily found overnight parking on a side street. The trundle bed sheets were not clean, and so we had to make other arrangements for the people that were supposed to sleep on them. We had one concern as the house was not cool on the 2nd and 3rd floors. I texted the host, he responded right away and came right over to address the concern. The beds were very comfortable and was well stocked with cooking utensils the house was very clean. I would definitely book again. We loved the location of the property for our purposes but it is on a rather busy street with not a beautiful view. It was great for us as we loved walking around to the quaint shops and restaurants. There is a great little coffee shop on the corner! If you need Starbucks, it is about 3 blocks down and across a rather busy street but totally walkable. We felt safe walking in the area but were always home by about 9pm. The house was pretty clean in my opinion. The kitchen cabinets could use a good cleaning, The small appliances could use a wipe down. We were there during a heat wave and the air-conditioning does not cool the upper floors very well, especially the third floor. Easy Uber ride to and from the field daily even with traffic. Stores, restaurants, CVS, coffee shop all in walking distance. Distinct, city feel in an updated townhome. 3 levels so have to be good with stairs. 4 bedrooms with six total beds was awesome. 2 full baths with 1 half bath was great for our group. I emailed the local host. Saturday morning, we did laundry because 1 set of sheets did not appear clean. We noticed water on the floor in the basement. I called the host and left a voice message. On Sunday at 7:00 am, the carbon monoxide alarm went off. I called RedAwning, but they don't accept calls before 8:00 am. We evacuated and called 911\. Luckily, no carbon monoxide was detected. The firefighter said there could be a problem with the wiring and suggested I let the owner know. I called and spoke to the host. He seemed annoyed that I had called 911 and asked why I didn't call him first. We asked how everything else was in the house. I brought up the AC and water in the basement. He claimed that he hadn't received my previous messages and made excuses. He suggested that we could leave a day early if we were unhappy. That was not a viable option for us. I was so annoyed by his response that I did not mention the smaller issues we had encountered. The house was not properly cleaned. We needed to clean the microwave before we could use it. The floors were dirty. We found items such as a bottle cap and a contact lens on the floor, and the baseboards were very dusty. This was perfect because it had beds for everyone! It was great to have everyone be able to sit and relax. Fishtown was great to be away from the chaos of downtown, but still easy to get there. Parking was a bit tricky and we ended up getting a ticket ($27). Also, it seemed like the dishwasher was not functioning so we had to fill the water by hand. A great location. Short on and off I-95\. Easy to airport, art museum and center city. Parkin in Phila is always a challenge but I found spots within 3 blocks in the street. Parking in front is restricted to 2 hrs from 4-pm to 2am in front of the house. If you have a large group, living room seating is limited. The Host, Anthony, was GREAT. Very responsive. The home just wasn’t as clean as we’d like it to be every bathroom need attention and deep clean, mold in showers, floor tile not locked in 3rd floor bathroom rarely flushed. Food stains on kitchen tile. The kitchen stove went out and the basement steps are dangerous. There was a creepy doll hanging in the backyard/neighbord backyard. Very unsettling ##### Rashaun F. We needed a large place for our big family to celebrate Thanksgiving and this place was great! We had 5 people sleeping, and were back and forth between my daughter’s house in Fishtown. Never had a problem parking with the 2 cars we brought. Always could find a spot in front of right or across the street. Every time. And we came and went alot over our stay!
