We totally needed a weekend getaway and The Red Coat turned out to be absolutely everything that we desired. The house is old, charming and beautifully restored, the hosts are welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable about the area and the room up in the eaves was a cozy suite with its own sitting area and hot tub - the perfect escape. When we came down the stairs to breakfast in the morning, we were greeted by the aroma of cinnamon baked pears and homemade waffles, which tasted as good as they...

This is a beautiful property with spacious rooms. Breakfast includes all the food groups, well presented. The outlook from the dining room at this time of year is a broad field dotted with bright orange pumpkins; lovely! Entrance to the house is provided by email and is easy to follow. Quiet neighbourhood and good, solid beds make for a perfect night's sleep.

Was a nice place with a fabulous breakfast. I only wish somebody had mentioned that it is a stones throw from Ravine Winery which is known to have some of the best food in the area but reservations are imperative if you wish to dine there for supper.

We stayed at the Lyons for one night the past weekend for our wedding anniversary. We were charmed right away by the beautiful garden and the decors inside the house. The room was very clean, and we also got a bathroom with jacuzzi. Howard extended a very warm welcome and was extremely helpful to recommend places/restaurants for us to go. And if all of those didn't impress , the breakfast the next day was another Wow factor. Two thumbs up to our hosts for making us feel right at home! We will...

The staff during our stay was next level! Very polite and accommodating to my party needs & myself. The property was beautiful in many ways, very few noticeable issues on the premises. Our bathroom mirror was MDF and was pealing/ bubbled and the beautiful antique piano outside our room could use refinishing. My girlfriend did take her finger and check the cleanliness of furniture and discovered dust on top of the armoire and corner of the bedroom. I personally found the room clean to my liking...
