The Space:
PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO AC IN THE UNIT. With stunning ocean views through its windows and from its private fenced-in yard, Walua Hale invites guests to truly get away from it all and enjoy peace and tranquility. The lanai is a stunning space to relax with 180 degrees of coastline in sight. The best meals of your trip will be had here, where a shaded dining table faces the 5-star views. Below in the yard, a peaceful hammock offers the perfect spot for a laid-back afternoon looking out over the Pacific. The home is situated only minutes away from the beach and Downtown Kailua-Kona, so you can easily enjoy the area and all its attractions.

We provide 2 beach chairs and 1 cooler for guest use.

Inside, this ocean view oasis features a refreshing coastal design filled with modern furnishings, natural textures, and shades of blue. The open-concept layout allows your group to relax in the living room, prepare food in the fully equipped kitchen, and share food in the dining area, all while spending quality time together.

This home sleeps 10 guests between 4 private bedrooms and a queen size sleeper sofa in the living area.

Bedroom #1 has gorgeous ocean views, deck access, a queen size bed, and tv.

Bedroom #2 has 2 twin size beds.

Bedroom #3 is the primary suite with ocean views, a king size bed, smart tv, deck access, and ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower.

Bedroom #4 queen size bed in newly renovated section of the home with a separate entrance.

THINGS TO NOTE:
- The home has an additional bathroom with shower/tub combo.
- 2 parking spaces are provided in the driveway.
- Washer and dryer in unit.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the property, on the premises, and in any nearby common areas. Violations will result in an automatic $500 fine, plus any additional costs for carpet and upholstery cleaning or other damages caused.

You have the entire 4 bed 3 bath unit to yourself, which is the upstairs unit of the house with private access. Bedroom, bathroom, living room, wet bar on the downstairs level with separate entry.

Set amidst a backdrop of lush tropical landscapes, Walua Hale is your oasis for relaxation and rest. But when you’re ready to get out and explore, you’re minutes away from the very attractions that draw visitors to the island. Kealakekua Bay is one of the best snorkeling spots in the entire state of Hawaii due to its spectacular coral reefs. Keauhou Bay has some of the best snorkeling on the planet, with the night dives among Manta Rays being an experience you’ll never forget. Explore Hawaiian history when visiting the nearby petroglyphs, ancient rock carvings dating all the way back to the 16th century.

When in Hawaii, you must of course make the most of the many beaches, hikes, and water activities available. Make sure you also dive into the unique culture of Kona, where coffee shops source beans straight from Kona coffee farms, Big Wave Golden Ale is brewed fresh at the Kona Brewpub, and local farmers markets are teeming with artisan goods and just-harvested produce.

Lovely house

We had an amazing stay for a week during the 4th of July. This house is in a great location with a walking path and just a few minutes from the beach. We had a few minor issues and was able to get prompt help from the property manager. With no AC it was quite warm but there were several fans to help, just be prepared during the summer months. We would gladly stay in this house again!

Needs Some Work

Overall, this was a decent place. I booked it for the Hawaii Ironman as I expected to have 6 family members but it ended only being myself and my significant other. The place is nicely remodeled. However, I found several shortcomings in light of the high rental price. First, we had a significant problem with gnats in the master bedroom and bathroom. The bed was covered with them each night. Second, the unit is advertised as having a washer/dryer. Yet it is an old washer/rusted dryer in an open garage (which is not ideal at night.) Third, the refrigerator did not get very cold. Fourth, no air conditioner so it was a must to leave all windows open and fans blowing through the night to let the air cool off. A closet door handle and toilet holder just fell off. The parking is also not ideal, especially if you had more than 1 car. Overall, for the location and amenities, I think this place is overpriced.

Horrible Experience

This has been by far the worst experience we ever had. the property had bed bugs and when reported to the property manager, they canceled our reservation without relocating our party and without proper notice. our party was basically told to get out of the property and figure out on our own where to stay for the rest of the stay in Kona. we booked this property month in advance and the cleanliness of the property was poorly handled. we did receive the full refund. However, the property manager's poor handling of the situation was horrible. we have never experience any like this before

Beautiful Sunsets

Great property with nice views. Everything was super clean and they even had beach towels and some beach gear like boogie boards and beach mats. However we did have some issues with the wifi for the tv and a major negative is that they don’t disclose in the listing that there are people staying down stairs who you have to share the washer and dryer with so you don’t have the property to yourself and couldn’t enjoy the yard only the patio upstairs.

Clean and Amazing View

Inside the home is very clean and orderly. We had a relaxing stay at Walua Hale home. Loved the amazing ocean view and enjoyed watching the beautiful evening sunset on the deck. Would like to come back and stay here again.

Great Big Island getaway with a couple of suggestions!

Beautiful property in a very convenient location. Very clean and well-maintained. The negatives were check in process. We were given the wrong code and took an hour on the phone (unable to contact local on-site manager), caused us to check in late. Also, listed pantry items- only paper towels (no salt, pepper, cooking oil, etc.) and BBQ grill was listed, but no propane tank at all, which we only found out after shopping. What would make this place even better would be to add a couple of beach chairs and a couple of snorkel masks. We would stay here again.

Excellent location and a very nice property

My adult children and I had an excellent time in Hawaii. This rental suited us perfectly. It very clean and well kept would highly recommend to anyone. Has an amazing deck with an excellent view. Just minutes away from the best beaches on the island and just a 15 minute commute from the airport, Costco and Walmart.
