Just perfect!
We had a wonderful three-night stay at Brooke's home in Jasper. We were gathering for a family wedding in the area, and our party of six ranged in age from five to 80 -- and everyone had a great time! We loved the sun porch overlooking the lake, playing classic board games like Monopoly and Sorry, and we even took the canoe out for a short paddle around the lake. Being in the area during peak fall color was an added bonus and we even saw a couple of deer in the backyard in the early mornings. A couple of notes - this is a gated community, and our GPS originally took us to a back gate that was not staffed. So we had to figure out the address for the main gate, navigate there to get checked in, and then put in the address of the house. It's also a bit of a drive from any stores, so don't plan on quickly running out for groceries, etc. But if you're looking for a mountain getaway with all the modern amenities, look no further! We had a great time and would go back in a heartbeat.

Beautiful views of nature
Wonderful place for a family vacation. We saw deer and a bear cub. Gated community is huge, lots of winding roads up the mountain, a little ways away from food and shopping but if your looking for a peaceful family get away where you can just stay all week and relax this is a great place.

Fun Weekend!
This is a good home base for a fun family mountain getaway. The home has a well appointed kitchen, comfy furniture and we really enjoyed having the lake so close. The owner has put a lot of thought into making it nice with touches like kleenex, beach towels, laundry detergent and even a floor fan for those that appreciate that white noise while sleeping. We had a great time!

The location is in an older community with outdated amenities yet it’s cute and quaint . The house decor is cute yet the housekeeping needs attention. We arrived to lots of cobwebs and sheets that needed to be re washed . Cabin is much smaller than what it appears in the pictures . The kitchen lacks quality cookware yet the fridge is great yet no water filter. Arriving to the house is very tricky . It’s a beautiful drive yet very curvy and one can easily get car sickness . There are two entrances . Make sure you go to the front gate off of Cove Road. The security guard isn’t very friendly . They aren’t too fond of VRBO . There is no dock to access the small lake from the house and the walk down to the lake from the house is very steep . Driving around the community is pretty . We enjoyed the canoe yet we got bit up from many lake water mites. There are wild woods which are beautiful but the wild hitchhiker weeds inside the house fenced area will put annoying stickers on to your pets . No campfires are allowed just use the gas propane tank . The pool table is fun yet it’s a tight space . The master bedroom mattress is uncomfortable. The Guest bedroom is better . The cute small upstairs bedroom are twin trundles . We enjoyed seeing the birds come to the bird feeders and playing golf . The TVs worked well except the one in the guest bedroom doesn’t work . The food at the 19th Hole is fair and good service . We liked downtown Jasper and the cute antique treasure chest shop .

Great Lakefront Getaway
The cabin was everything we hoped it would be from the photos and description. Our family of 4 had a great stay. The boys (16 and 8) enjoyed fishing (not catching) and using the canoe. Saw deer almost every morning in the back yard. Filled the bird-feeders and had birds at the windows everyday. Plenty of room to spread out and stay busy on the property if you didn’t want to venture out. Even managed to cook a full thanksgiving feast while we were there. Owners were very responsive to questions. Highly recommend.
