Guests are perfectly located in the heart of the Texas Wine Trail. The iconic town of Luckenbach is just 3.4 miles away, less than 5 miles from the Wildseed Farm, Alstadt Brewery and Trade Days. The beds were comfortable and the linens and towels were very nice. The home has many special touches like dimming lights. The kitchen is well stocked. The grill did not work but we made still cooked a few of the nights we were there. The pool is not huge but plenty big for us to float around a little each evening. This house with the hot tub and pool and in the country so we didn’t have to worry about our 6, 6, 10, and 11 year olds bother anyone was perfect . It was close to Fredericksburg - just a 17 min drive. We had an easy drive to hike Enchanted Rock and caverns. Every day we enjoyed the hot tub and the kids used the pool even though it was too cold for the adults. We were only 6 minutes from Luckenbach. The house was comfortable and clean and had a great amount of kitchen supplies already there to make sure we didn’t spend all day doing dishes from breakfast to enjoy lunch. The kitchen was well supplied with essentials. Some money could have been put into adding insulation between the first and second floor as you could hear every step and movement from upstairs. Neither bathroom shower drained. We stood in several inches of water while showering - not pleasant or relaxing. We didn't want our days interrupted with maintenance crews there while we tried to relax so we didn't bother to call. Some extra blankets could have been provided since the ones on the bed were super thin and did nothing for warmth. The property was not to tidy. There were hair bands throughout the house, game pieces all over the patio and in the house, and a ton of cigarette butts that we picked up and threw away. We liked the privacy and quiet location. This home perfectly met our needs and sleeping arrangements. The property was clean and the check in process was very easy. The inground pool was the perfect size for us being a sport pool size and also the hot tub was great for the evenings to relax. There were only 3 pool towels for the 5 of us, that was our only complaint to have more towels for the pool. The beds were on the firm side but comfortable and the air conditioning worked well in the Texas summer heat after the initial cool down of the home. The surroundings were very peaceful and such a serene environment for this home. Thanks for a great stay! It was very close to the wineries and a short drive to downtown. We loved the remote feel and surrounded by beautiful scenery. The house had everything we needed and it was exactly as pictured. The only complaints I had were the beds upstairs were very noisy and uncomfortable. We were only left 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom and 4 trash bags which wasn’t near enough for 6 of us. It was clean, uncluttered and aesthetically pleasing. But, the cleaning crew could have done a better job sweeping the floor. The house was secluded and close to pastures with cattle and vineyards which was serene and relaxing. So, expect the flys that go along with farm animals. Aug 28, 2025 #### Das Steinhaus The home and pool were quite dirty. The pool had a pipe, paper towels, trash, dirt, and dead bugs in it. We tried to clean it ourselves first but the brush didn't work. We reached out and asked for them to come clean it and were brushed off so it was not cleaned during our stay. The home also had quite a few dead bugs throughout and the floors had not been mopped in some time as our socks were all so dirty just from walking around the home. It was a disappointing experience as far as the home. The location worked out well for us, about 10 minutes from Fredericksburg but we enjoyed seeing the cows, armadillos, etc during our stay there. We then drove into Fredericksburg to look around. I was initially disappointed that the house was more than 10 miles away. Guess what, after checking in we never went back into Fredericksburg. The area where the house is provided all we needed. Beautiful, uncrowded wineries all around, hot tub, cows, goats, Luckenbach, ect. Beauty without the crowds! Jul 27, 2022 Disliked: Cleanliness, communication, location #### Renters Beware The house was nice and we enjoyed our stay. The problem is Absolute Charm. We spent a good amount of time cleaning up the house before our checkout time. An hour later I get an email that an extra fee has been charged to credit card on file. We requested more details as to why the charge had been assessed. That's when things got strange. 45 minutes after our request, we got an email with photos attached. The property managers had actually taken the time to pull trash out, place it various places around the house, to make it look like we left the house in bad shape. I told them the photos had been doctored, but they stood by their claim and their charge. They'll probably reply to this review and refute my story, but don't trust these people. Look at their yelp reviews. They have a pattern of this behavior. ##### Michael S.
