It is HIGHLY advised that all travelers get a Cancel For Any Reason Travel Insurance (CFAR coverage). You will be reimbursed between 50% and 75% prepaid, forfeited, and non-refundable trip costs, depending on the company you choose.

Great Hidden Gem
Spacious Hideout 6 minutes away from the airport! Very clean with full kitchen. For the price, it’s a steal! Loved the retro back in the day bathroom with thermador heater. Don’t see that everyday. We also enjoyed the ROKU large flat screen. The L shaped couch was great. Lester’s is just a few minutes away. Great family owned restaurant. All services nearby as well as easy access to highways leading to Fort Lauderdale and Miami Beach areas.

Has everything you need in a comfortable package. The only issue we had was the cleanliness. Floor was the only thing that was dirty but we did find evidence of mold and roaches. Nothing crazy and understable with the recent flooding of the area. Would stay again once the bug/mold problem is resolved.

Tortuga Festival
We stayed here for the Tortuga Festival. It's close enough that the golf cart rides will bring you back across the bridge and drop you at your place. There's also a Food Truck just a few blocks away that's open late for that midnight snack! Great burgers btw! The most outstanding part of the apartment was definitely the communication from the owner, David; probably one of the best communications we've had with an owner. He was awesome!

The place was nice and clean. The park right across the street is super-convenient for walks and such. In a quiet neighborhlod, and close to lots of things.

HORRIBLE - Avoid at all costs
If I could give this place no stars, I would. And I absolutely would not recommend this unit or this owner to anyone. If I explained everything, this review would be two pages long so here is the shorter version. Upon arrival, the unit had not been cleaned. During the back and forth with the owner on this issue, she was unprofessional, rude, and dishonest regarding the time frame in which she’d have it cleaned by, but finally agreed to take the cleaning fee off the price. When I get back to the unit with my daughter around 9:30 pm, the keypad isn’t working for us to get back into the unit: it is dead. We reached out to the owner dozens of times via phone and email with no response. So here we are standing outside the unit late at night in a somewhat sketchy part of town with no way to get inside and dealing with an unresponsive owner, despite the ad saying they offer 24/7 support. After over an hour of trying to reach the owner we finally need to call a locksmith who drilled the deadbolt on the side door in order to give us access to the unit AND my medications. More than 12 hours later, we finally hear back from the owner via email that she was sorry for the experience and to send her the invoice for the locksmith. We do not trust the owner to be responsive or quick with a solution so we do not feel comfortable or safe leaving our belongings in the unit. So we pack up and take all our stuff out of the unit and leave. Around 7 pm, which is almost 10 hours later I finally get a message that the door was fixed. However, she says that the locksmith broke the doorknob (not true) and she would be deducting the replacement from my reimbursement. What?! We wouldn’t have needed to call a locksmith in the first place if she honored what the ad said about 24/7 support and not being an absentee owner. I’ve reached out to the owner twice now to see if we could come to an agreement with compensation since we needed to find other, safer accommodations as well as my reimbursement and she hasn’t responded. However, the payment did post to my account and she refunded nowhere near the amount we agreed upon and she did not reimburse anything for the locksmith. In short, she basically lied to me and stole from me. I pray that no one else has to experience this and I would suggest avoiding this unit and owner at all costs!

Best place in Fort Lauderdale
This apartment is beautiful. Really tastefully laid out and decorated by someone who cares. A home from home with everything you could possibly want provided for. As advertised, (if not better) with the additional benefit of prompt & efficient responses from David Rentals whenever I had a question. Totally recommend & will stay again for sure!
