A short drive down the road is the treasure of the region, Ocean Point, a rare public access to Maine\`s spectacular rocky coastline. Residents and guests can walk, run, cycle or drive a lovely 2-mile oceanfront loop called the Shore Road. Guests will find that Bay Ridge Cottage is recently and completely renovated. In addition to the kitchen, dining, living, full bath, and music rooms on the first floor with a beautiful large front porch to enjoy the natural environment! There are 3 bedrooms and a full bath on the second floor. Bedroom one has a king-size bed, bedroom 2 has a queen-size bed, and bedroom 3 has a queen-size bed and a twin over twin over twin bunk bed. Together, the bedrooms can accommodate 6 adults and 3 children. For the fun of it, children (or anyone else) can take advantage of the two roll-away beds (with mattresses) in the bunk house, just across the breezeway from the kitchen. We hope you enjoy your stay at Bay Ridge Cottage. Our team is located a short 10-minute drive from the property should you need any assistance during your stay. Roughly 100 yards from the house is the entrance to Linekin and Burley Preserves, two adjacent preserves that in total protect 138 wooded acres and 651 feet of waterfront. Here you can hike the nearly 3 miles of trails over a rocky ridge to the Damariscotta River. The trails wind through a forest of old hardwood and pine, and along streams and ponds, from the Linekin Bay side of the peninsula to the Damariscotta side. Virtually all the other Boothbay region’s attractions - Maine State Aquarium, Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, beaches, boating and restaurants - are only minutes away. Private driveway with space for 3 cars. Cancellation Policy: If Guest wishes to cancel his/her reservation any amounts paid by Guest will be refunded (less any credit card fees incurred) as follows: 100% if cancelled prior to or on date six (6) months prior to Check-in Date 50% if cancelled after six (6) months and before or on three (3) months prior to Check-in Date 0% if cancelled after three (3) months prior to Check-in Date Please see our rental agreement for additional terms and conditions. After booking, you’ll receive a message prompting you to complete a short verification process through our guest portal, powered by Enso Connect. As part of this step, you’ll have the option to either purchase a low-cost damage waiver or provide a refundable security deposit. House has been renovated although stll has a warm cottage feel. Only downside was gas fireplace still being installed and not available. Also there is no acess to the river across the street as it is all private property. There is a nature preserve within walking distance. It was quite large for just me and my husband, but the fenced in yard was great for our dogs. The location was close to the ocean and some good restaurants.
