Rejuvenating an OT
Went to Duluth for a rest before my next job as an OT and found much needed rejuvenation. Salyards was a perfect location for historic, city, touristy things as well as near by Hwy 61 to see the natural beauty of the North Shore. We laid in the hammock and were joined by Salyards resident deer Priscilla and her twins happily chewing grass. We stayed in the carriage house which was private but homey. Would revisit

Make sure to read the description closely
We had a pretty good stay but found the listing to be a bit confusing, such as it saying that you get the whole place, but that the Keurig, games, DVDs, etc. are in the main house. I also don't consider a unit next door and a unit below to be the whole place. It also says there's a bathroom, but the actual room only has the toilet and sink; the whirlpool tub/shower combo (which has a very slow drain) is on the other side of the room. The room is also very small with only two hard dining room chairs and one soft chair. When we arrived, we found a regular coffee maker with coffee still in the carafe, full of grounds because there was no filter present, so we bought filters. The neighborhood is quiet and the grounds were very nice. We were lucky enough to find a parking spot each night, but only because we came back at times when others were usually gone, such as to dinner. We could not hear the people next door and below us talking, but we could hear them walking into their room and down the stairs. Finally, the TV did not work at all; the Wi-Fi is fine because we could stream movies on my iPad, but the TV itself doesn't have a higher enough refresh rate (or something prohibiting it from streaming anything without extreme buffering). I would not discourage anyone from staying here but just advise being fully informed so as not to be surprised.
