"The Gateway was a fantastic place to stay for visiting Sequoia. The little cabin was perfect for 2 people and we had a balcony overlooking the river which was a lovely bonus. "It was a lovely cabin maybe a bit small but most are. Its proximity to the main road was a bit challenging. Also we weren’t informed notice of the location up the hill until a few days before our trip date and by then it was too late to cancel. Furthermore if you choose this property be prepared for a winding road up the hill. Overall a pleasant experience at the property itself with spectacular views."

"We just finished a really peaceful, relaxing week at Sequoia National Park. The house was a good base located just inside the park. The weather being unseasonably hot made the house a little warm in the afternoon thanks to the huge windows, but it was much more comfortable after the sun went down. It’s not a luxury property, but if you want a convenient location with lots of character, this is a great place."

"We loved the house. It was in a beautiful location. Close to the park and a little town if you need something. We used the kitchen to cook our own food and it had everything we needed. The washer and dryer were so nice to have. This stop was in the middle of our vacation and this allowed us to pack less. We would stay again if we come back to the area."

"Accessibility to park and restaurants convenient. The cabin was very tidy and clean inside. Cabin definitely needs some repairs to help keep the flying and crawling night insects out. A good sealing around wall AC and door frames is needed. Old windows in bedrooms. One window doesn’t close all the way so flying little bugs come in through the screens."
