Mexico and Central America Hotels

Visited in May of 2013. Very nice hotel on a beautiful private beach, close to bars, restaurants, shopping, public transportation, all within walking distance. We had a rental car, no charge for parking and we were able to drive around all surrounding areas. Safe and impeccably clean. Food was good, but overpriced in my opinion, they advertise "high" Mexican cuisine and I wouldn't mind paying for that, but it was not fine Mexican cuisine, it was just good food. The most shocking part ( negative ) is that you have to pay for water and coffee, I never would have expected to have to pay for these specially at a 5 star hotel. But 100% recommend this hotel, it is absolutely beautiful and their beach is probably one of the best. I traveled with my 20 yr old daughter, but it seems perfect, for couples and families with children too. There is not much to do in the actual hotel, which was perfect for us, but do not expect any activities here. It is great to relax, sunbathe, absorb the beautiful beach, have a drink by the pool, enjoy the spa and if you want to do anything else, just step outside the door and everything is right there.

Loved, loved , loved this place going back every year

What a great 5 days! We met a few people that have been to other reputable resorts. They said that the live aqua is by far the best. We stayed on the aqua club floor(5th floor) it was a great pool and ocean view. I'm not really impressed with the extra benefits from the aqua club. I wouldn't pay for the upgrade again. The food was really good at all of the restaurants. The room srevice serves great lasagna.The hidden garden serves a great curry chicken. we did go to the seafood resturant and had the all you can eat filet and lobster tail for $60 each, it was worth it. We often ended our day at the main bar, the bartenders there are so friendly. Be sure to take a lot of small bills with you so you can tip them. DON'T speak with any of the people at the airport who say that they are trying to give you a good deal. KEEP WALKING they are all reps for time shares. Walk directly outside and get a private cab $65 or shuttle$16 each. Book your activities and tours at the hotel. We booked the 6 hour deep sea fishing trip, it was great! The pools are great, the staff kept my drink full! My only worry was to decide which drink to order next. The private taxi ride from the hotel to the airport is $35.00. Do the private taxi for your return,then you don't have to ride in the shuttle and waste a lot of time. The resort is very well kept. I couldn't find a single thing to complain about and I'm a fussy person. I want to go back in December. Stay at this resort, you won't regret it!

great location, L shape small pool on the roof which was great to cool down in and the roof top patio was a great hide away from the crowded beach. staff could speak english and answer questions. hotel is right by all the resturants and bars yet quiet at the hotel

This was a beautiful hotel complete with great views, an aweome pool and beach area and caring helpful employees. My only complaint was the water pressure in the shower was very poor.

Comfortable, friendly and reasonable. Good location for walking and shopping

The hotel lobby is stunning and the room was enormous. The front desk staff, concierge and maintenence staff were professional, attentive and friendly. We had trouble working our in-room safe and they sent help immediately, twice! WiFi connection is complementary and worked well. The location is perfect for strolling the downtown historical area of Mexico. The only reason I did not give them a 5 on the comfort of the room is because the matress was too firm for my preference. My husband thought it was fine. We didn't eat at the hotel, but did go up to see the beautiful view. We highly recommend this hotel for a downtown Mexico City visit.

Congratulations to management; me and my wife stayed there for three nights, and enjoyed every moment. Service was excellent, everything was in excellent working condition, and clean. Coffee 24 hours a day. About three and a half blocks from Zócalo, Cathedral and Palacio de Gobierno (historic monuments). I will definitelly return and recommend it.
