"Best location in Mexico City"
Perfectly located - especially for anyone truly interested in Mexican history and culture. And you'd be a fool to want to be anywhere other than the historical center. Stunning art- nouveau public rooms, good food, wonderful rooms, excellent staff. Don't miss the street entertainers on Avenida Madera

"Beautiful hotel, excellent staff"
The staff are world-class. We arrived brutally sick, and they had a doctor in our room within an hour to administer antibiotics, and they sent a member of staff to pick up the prescriptions we needed from the pharmacy. Once the excitement died down, it was a pleasure to recover in such a beautiful hotel. The architecture is amazing, planes of color and light. The fountain is worth the price of admission, like it has somehow captured the roughness of the sea in a small pool. The Tamayo mural in the lobby was a pleasure to view, and the excellent room service catered to our absurd dietary needs resulting from illness and medication. The heated swimming pool was a pleasure, too. Highly recommend this place even if you aren't deathly ill. It's a beautiful landmark building with excellent service and staff.

"Historic hotel in very convenient location"
Opened in 1907, this hotel is in the middle of the very energetic Zona Rosa, and within reasonable walking distance (or an inexpensive taxi ride) of major sites both west (Bosque Chaputepec) and east (Palacio de Bellas Artes and the Zócalo. There is a lot of Mexico City history, as experienced through the hotel, on display in the lobby and in the hallways.

"Good hotel in a great area"
We were pleasantly surprised at how well located the hotel was. We felt very safe to wander around (police headquarter right next door) and discover little restaurants and boutiques.

"Excellent Stay"
Tower level room was very clean, with clear view of Reforma Ave and angel monument. Single king size room was actually kind of small but excellent for single traveler such as myself. Starbucks downstairs. Sanborns cafe & bakery across the street. Museums are up and down Reforma avenue, walking distance. Hotel is very safe, next to the American embassy. Stay away from hotel deli to avoid price shock.
