"Nice Hotel close to the MTS Centre"
Even though the hotel was under renovations it did not hamper the experience, staff was very friendly and informative. For a suite that close to the MTS Centre where the Jets play, the price was outstanding. The suite was big with a separate bedroom, full kitchen and bath. The hotel itself is old but very well maintained. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going into a Jets game for the night.

"Our second of many stays to come!"
We had stayed at Mere back in December for our Anniversary as it was centrally located and we planned trips to the Forks and Human Rights Museum while in town. We were very happy with the first visit. The hotel is VERY clean, modern and the rooms; very relaxing. Great beds, great showers, great decor! (Imagine IKEA built their own hotel and you're on the right track) My ONLY issue the first time was that there were three different pods for the Nespresso machine (one each of three types) so my wife and I had to fight over who got which coffee. Petty, I know. However I mentioned it might be a good idea to give two of each so future guests might have that option. They responded and said they would make that change in January. Low and behold, when we checked in this time - SIX coffee pods (two of each) as promised. I was pleased. Again the room and the staff were fantastic. They were offering valet parking (of sorts) for Valentine's Day and, before I offer a minor critique below; let me just say that one of the staff (Melissa, who was actually parking the cars in between working the front desk) went above and beyond. After leaving our car keys at the desk and returning to our room, my wife realized that her Advil had been left in the car (she had just had a minor surgery and was using it for rather necessary pain management) so she called down to see if they had already parked it. They had, so my wife was going to go down. Instead, Melissa offered to bring it up. Wonderful.

Just because you’re in one of Manitoba’s most populated cities, it doesn’t mean you have to overspend to enjoy your stay.

Follow the locals to The Forks. This downtown area is where residents and visitors meet at Johnston Terminal to sample local foods and check out artisanal crafts. Got your camera on you? Just walk a little bit outside of the hustle and bustle to the riverfront for some picturesque views. Another thing Winnipeg is known for is its long history, and luckily, it’s surprisingly affordable to get to know the city’s past up close and personal. The Police Museum is always free and features 1880s prisoner weapons and a jail cell preserved from the 1910s. For more modern law-making, simply head to the Manitoba Legislative Building. The stone and marble marvel offers free self-guided tours throughout the week.

Once you’re ready to rest those travelling feet, return to your Winnipeg 3-star hotel. Enjoy all the amenities you crave on holiday without draining your wallet. Enjoy more to spend on souvenirs and treats than on accommodations.

Reserve the Winnipeg hotel of your choice right here on Expedia.ca for ultimate savings. And while you’re looking for rooms and suites, cruise over to our car rentals page. We spotlight top discounts on rental cars in Winnipeg so you can get to The Forks, the Police Museum, and anywhere else in the city with ease.
