"Looking forward to staying"
Had my supper and ordered fried fish meal at the hotel restaurant. The menu stated vegetable of the day included but when the server came with the plate, there was only cole slaw. I asked her why the vegetable of the day is missing so she went back to the kitchen. I was told the cook advised her that the cole law was the vegetable of the day. However, I could not eat the cole slaw because it was not fresh. She spoke to the manager about the situation and she came back and told us we did not have to pay for my supper.

"Nice hotel. Poor staff communication. "
Beautiful hotel, clean & modern. Staff was not knowledgeable about their own hotel. They had our vehicle towed after telling us it was a loading zone and it was ok. We ran out suitcase up and got a call saying it was being towed. Our vehicle also would not fit in their parkade

Everything was ok, except something major was not right. In room 310 there is or was no hot water in the tub!! Faucet was installed wrong, leaver only went half way to hot, so water was not warm enough to shower. We were in a big hurry to shower, get ready for a big function, this is why we flew to Winnipeg, so having to wait until staff finally gave us another room to shower was a bit of an issue. We heard that there were other rooms with the same problem from the staff who helped us. One wonders why this problem would not be taken care of. Other than that the hotel was fine.

"Lovely boutique hotel"
The staff of the Mere was outstanding. They made us feel so at-home during our 10-night stay for the Women's World Cup. It was clear they cared about making our stay at the Mere, and in the Winnipeg area, as great as it could be. Gave us good suggestions about places to go, and helped us figure out how to get there. Also, the beds were the most comfortable we've ever slept on. Lots of excellent restaurants nearby. Short walk to the Forks district, French Quarter, Civil and Human Rights Museum. Right on the walking/biking path along the Red River.

"Convenient, if not for the Nightclub noise"
Great staff and clean rooms. Only issue was the music that kept me awake most of the night. This will make me think twice before staying here again.

"Cozy & cultural"
Can't imagine staying anywhere else in Winnipeg. The kids were sad about not having no pool on premises, but were quickly appeased by museum playground, stone monuments (educational and climbable) and the lively markets. What an amazing place.

An enjoyable overnight stay in this lovely character hotel. The rooms were comfortable and cozy and the beds were great. Our room was so quiet. We had a great sleep and it was so nice to be able to have the Forks so close.

Just because you’re in one of Manitoba’s most populated cities, it doesn’t mean you have to overspend to enjoy your stay.

Follow the locals to The Forks. This downtown area is where residents and visitors meet at Johnston Terminal to sample local foods and check out artisanal crafts. Got your camera on you? Just walk a little bit outside of the hustle and bustle to the riverfront for some picturesque views. Another thing Winnipeg is known for is its long history, and luckily, it’s surprisingly affordable to get to know the city’s past up close and personal. The Police Museum is always free and features 1880s prisoner weapons and a jail cell preserved from the 1910s. For more modern law-making, simply head to the Manitoba Legislative Building. The stone and marble marvel offers free self-guided tours throughout the week.

Once you’re ready to rest those travelling feet, return to your Winnipeg 3-star hotel. Enjoy all the amenities you crave on holiday without draining your wallet. Enjoy more to spend on souvenirs and treats than on accommodations.

Reserve the Winnipeg hotel of your choice right here on Expedia.ca for ultimate savings. And while you’re looking for rooms and suites, cruise over to our car rentals page. We spotlight top discounts on rental cars in Winnipeg so you can get to The Forks, the Police Museum, and anywhere else in the city with ease.
