The room did not have chair at desk, but when I asked about this one was brought to my room at once. The owner and staff were very friendly, helpful, and nice! Great location, Petra, museum, eating, drinking, etc. all walkable. Breakfast included was fine too. There is good Wi-Fi in the lobby but not in the rooms. From what I could see of the other hotels in Petra this one was the same as any other except the resorts but it's closer then most. Breakfast was a standard breakfast for the region, bread, hummus, labbnah, eggs. Very close to Petra's entrance and a flat level, which helps after a day hiking. Stayed in the refurbished part of the hotel, the bed was good and the air conditioned worked. However the bath leaked a lot, so after a shower the all bathroom was wet. The breakfast was basic and the staff could try to smile sometimes. Near to some nice restaurants. Management and staff smoke, which is noticable in lobby and can drift to some of the rooms. Good value for the money. The staff was very helpful and friendly, the room and shower clean, beds comfortable, breakfast plenty, WiFi available in the lobby, grochery store next door. The only disappointment was the AC in the room which was one rotating fan on the wall. When it says a 5 minute walk to the Petra Gates - it literally means a 5 minute walk. The location also allows easy access to restaurants and a pub next door. The rooms were very, very simple (but they were clean) and the TV didn't work - but who needs a TV when you can sit on the roof top terrace and watch the sun set. The staff were friendly and ensured that ice was on hand when needed for our drinks. The breakfast was also very simple but good enough to fill you up.
