The climate is ideal with cool summers and mild winters. The list of activities is long and includes, hiking, fishing, skiing, sledding, boating, snowmobiling, horseback riding, and more! You have access to the entire cabin. I'll send you a personalized key code one week before check-in. Access is that easy :) Welcome to Dogwood Peak, a darling, remodeled a-frame cabin with mid-century vibes. At 960 square feet, the space strikes the balance of a cozy, cabin in the woods with comfortable modern accommodations so guests can find what they're looking for. The a-frame has 2 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. The first is a bedroom on the first floor across from the full bathroom. The second bedroom is the open loft space with an adjoining half bath upstairs. In the loft space, there is a twin murphy bed that can be pulled out for a child or fifth guest. Upstairs you'll also find a wall-mounted desk and folding chair in case you want to work or use a dedicated desk space while you're here. This is the perfect setup for a small family, friends, or couples traveling together. With cozy textiles strewn about its warm interior, it’s the perfect place to play a round of cards (or one of the many available board games), read, play corn hole, or relax on the front deck in an Adirondack chair! Dogwood Peak cabin is in a very walkable and friendly neighborhood, in addition to being close to lots of outdoor activities. Enjoy the deck with a table and chairs in the summertime, with a good cup of coffee in hand (complimentary selection of coffee and hot cocoa are offered, of course). Enjoy a complimentary bottle of wine upon your arrival! When you're spending time inside, you'll have all the comforts of home, including high-speed internet, a smart flat-screen TV in the living room, a Nest thermostat to control the central heating, and modern updates, including stainless steel appliances, a washer, and dryer, and updated bathrooms. Linens - We DO provide clean linens Towels - We DO provide clean bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths. Toiletries - We DO provide shampoo, conditioner, and soap for each bathroom. Cleaning Supplies - We DO provide basic cleaning essentials (laundry detergent & dishwasher pods, all-purpose spray, fabric stain remover, sponge & dish soap) The cabin is for families and friend getaways only, with no parties. It was absolutely gorgeous, cozy, modern, super clean and perfect for my wife and I. The kitchen had all the modern amenities for our home cooked meals. We loved the Nespresso coffee machine! Such good coffee! The upstairs loft bed was super comfortable. The host, Jamie, was absolutely amazing. All the instructions upon check in were great, and she responded right away. Her recommendations from the Hungry Hut and Shaver Pizza were delicious! I cannot say enough about her hospitality. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and two hats! We loved the old fashioned stove that kept us warm during the fresh snowy nights. We fell in love with this cabin and would like to return one day. Couldn’t recommend enough. The check in process was seamless and we arrived to a bottle of wine and two Dogwood Peak hats on the kitchen table. Our kids (7 & 9) wore them all week! Jamie’s recommendations were spot on - we enjoyed the small town’s restaurants, experienced an amazing trail ride with Shaver Stables, spent a day on the lake with a boat/tubing rental thru the marina, explored McKinley Grove and Dinkey Creek and enjoyed swimming in Shaver Lake. The property was perfect for the 4 of us and very clean. Also, the temps rose while we were there and Jamie reached out to us letting us know that the owner decided to provide a portable AC unit.
