We were only about a 35 minute drive from the mountain, and Rangeley had enough shops and restaurants to keep us busy when we were not at the mountain. Moose Alley was a great place to bring a group for bowling, pool, and drinks and only a 2 minute drive away. The house itself was very homey and everyone loved lounging together in the living room on the big, comfy leather couch. The sleeping setup was great for a big group, especially the rooms that had their own full bathrooms. The lake was also beautiful, and I would love to explore the area in the summer. Would definitely return either for another ski weekend or a summer lake weekend. ##### Peter M. I have been exploring Maine for over 20 years and had never been to this area and it is absolutely gorgeous. We had a wonderful time hiking, biking and kayaking. The house at 23 Pleasant is huge, very clean and central to everything we wanted to do while withing walking distance to downtown. If anything, the pictures on-line dont do it justice. My only complaint is the "king" size bed is not actually a king size bed, it is 2 mattresses. This ended up being a minor annoyance as everything else was perfect including the huge fire pit outback. ##### christopher k.
