This air-conditioned condo is comfortably casual, offering a full kitchen and living room that are open to each other, floor-to-ceiling glass doors that lead outside to an oceanfront balcony, and even a private washer/dryer to refresh your swimsuits and beach towels nightly. Situated mere steps from the ocean, Fountainhead Towers offers access to community amenities that include a beachfront swimming pool, a tennis court, and a sundeck. You'll be practically across the road from the Gold Coast Mall, a matter of steps from restaurants and groceries, three-quarters of a mile south of Northside Park, and only two miles south of the Fenwick Island Lighthouse and tax-free shopping across the Maryland-Delaware state line. Things to Know Full kitchen No pets and no smoking please (including on the oceanfront balconies and in other common areas) Ocean City has adopted a noise control ordinance that makes it unlawful to cause or permit noise levels which exceed those established by the Department of the Environment of the State of Maryland (COMAR 26.02.03.02) or are in violation of Chapter 30, Article V of the Town Code. It shall be a violation of this agreement and grounds for eviction under Maryland law if these noise levels are exceeded as a result of activity on this property. Everything could use updated, but worked just fine. The hairdryer was very old and malfunctioned, which I reported at checkout. We loved the condo's location. Cons: loud a/c in bedroom closet, limited seating, very small tv not a smart tv, floors need a good scrub, cabinets generally dusty- kitchen had no Steak knives and could have been better equipped overall, linens are prison quality towels id bring your own towels, hair dryer was gross. Jul 5, 2024 #### Room for improvement An outdated unit with some broken items but overall nice with two balconies to watch the sunrise or the sunset (one facing ocean, one facing bay across hallway). It was like a private beach, not at all crowded, and a nice pool and deck to lay out on. Like the other guests we talked to, we wish the pool was shallower so more of us could enjoy wading in it or standing in it. We appreciated the sheets, blankets, pillows, towels, shampoo, soap, detergents, sponges, trash bags, paper products, hair dryer, washer & dryer, dishes, pans, and everything else that was included. It made it so much easier to just buy the food needed for the week at the supermarket across the street. (Bring a plastic container or two for your leftovers.) It was a great location and so quiet!! All the workers were nice and friendly and the Vacasa people were very pleasant and took care of anything right away. We give it a 8 out of 10. ##### Mary M B. Sep 18, 2024 #### Outdated The location is excellent, great views, easy walk to the beach. There are many great things about this space including a washer/dryer. HOWEVER- the furnishings are extremely out of date. A kitchen chair had been "repaired" hastily with superglue...my husband sat on it and it broke under him. He was lucky he wasn't injured, and had it not been a fit man who fell but an older person, there would have been serious injury. The furniture is old and the couches have that wet, gritty feel. The outdoor furniture is old, cracking, and taped together in places. In my opinion, this is an example of someone who owns a beautiful property, but does not want to put any additional money into it. Overall, I would not stay here again, however I wouldn't discourage others from staying here- just be aware of where you sit!! ##### Kristen G. The condo was nice and clean but the bed was horrible. The mattress is so old we could feel the springs and it jiggled every time we moved. I went into the closet that had a stack of pillows, blankets and a comforter to use the comforter under our fitted sheet to add some comfort and not feel the springs. When I spread the comforter out, it had a big smear of something that looked like feces on it, which was dried up. We were disgusted with the whole bedroom situation after that. Everything that was in the closet was just thrown in there and should not have been sitting on the dirty tile floor. We notified the rental agency about the bed issue and they said they were going to contact the building manager to check it out, but nobody ever showed up or even contacted us. We stayed in a different room in that same building last year and was very happy, but from my understanding, they were different owners we will never stay in that room again. ##### Sue M. The heated pool and direct access to the beach were fantastic. There are lots of places to eat within walking distance, including the Crabcake Factory. We ate there twice and it's only a couple of blocks away. If you love crabcakes, make it a priority to go there. There are several stores within walking distance, including a liquor store, a beach souvenir store, and a Food Lion. The unit itself had some positive qualities and then some not so. The views from both front and back balconies were epic, bar none. You can watch the sunrise and the Atlantic from the ocean balcony and the sunset and bay from the balcony on the front of the building. Shower pressure and temperature were good. The bed was really uncomfortable and it was hard to get a good night's sleep. There are two sofa beds but the beds in those are worse than the bed in the bedroom. However, the sofas themselves were decent and we slept on them a lot. You might want to pack an air mattress or two. The dishwasher although functional could use some updating. It didn't appear to be secured very well under the counter. There is an automatic ice maker which is a plus. There was no blender, beach chairs, nor beach umbrella which was not ideal and not my experience in recent travels to the coast. I would likely return to the building but not so sure about the actual unit. I'd probably give 4.5 stars if I could. ##### Michelle W.
