« The location and area are wonderful. The property COULD be a gem, but it is in terrible disrepair. The house inside, while perhaps not outfitted for people who cook a lot, is decent. But when we checked in, the exterior was a shambles. Grass half cut and lawnmower left on the sidewalk, gardens not weeded or cared for, pool cold and dirty, hot tub not working, and not clean, no propane tank for the bbq, the dock in disrepair to the point of being dangerous. Log cabins with kitchen and comfortable beds, real fire places with ample free dry wood topped up daily, view of the lake. 2 hot tubs and sauna, free access to plenty of canoes, kayaks and paddle boards any time you want, small but good size quiet lake with fish to catch, multiple docks with chairs and other access to swim. Eagles, deer etc all around. Suoer attentive and friendly staff on site. Office has tons of games and puzzles to use....

« We had such a lovely stay here. It was very tranquil peaceful and the hosts were just spectacular. All the little details that these guys add make such a big difference and let me tell you that breakfast that they make, is absolutely delicious. We took our infant, who is only nine months old and our puppy, and they made a little puppy plate and a little plate for our boy. We had such a lovely day and created some fantastic memories and hope to be back. We cannot thank these hosts enough. »

« LF Guesthouse had everything that we needed to make our stay in Nanaimo memorable. The house was sparkling clean. We loved the location as it was a 12 min walk to Long Lake where we explored one evening. The backyard was very spacious but we spent most of our time there inside. We used the laundry as we had been travelling for a week and half when we arrived. It worked great. Lou was so easy to deal with and she is one of those thoughtful hosts that makes a stay so enjoyable. We prepared meals...

« Such an incredible little property. The view is incredible and the pictures on the listing don't do it justice, it's definitely a million dollar view. Doug and Jan were great hosts and included so many extra amenities and thoughtful touches like snacks and drinks which was so sweet. Hot tub was fabulous and while it's a drive to town, it's worth it for a one of a kind stay. »

« Just like it says it's a 100 year old cottage with a games room and plenty of space for my 3 kids. The kids stayed in the upper floor - note there are steeper than normal steps leading upstairs but my boys didn't mind. Plenty of attention to details throughout the house with all of modern comforts of home. Good central location close to Nanaimo for all of your day trips. »
