We had a wonderful stay at the Finlay House B&B! The location couldn’t be better—just a short walk to the historic and beautiful downtown area. Our room was comfortable and inviting, but what truly made our visit unforgettable was our host, Yvonne. She was beyond welcoming, attentive to every detail, and went out of her way to make us feel at home. Her warmth and hospitality made this a truly unforgettable stay. This was our second stay in the Oscar Wilde Room at the Finlay House and we would stay here again. The room is a good size with a small sitting area and large private bathroom. The room is clean, and with only one other room on the floor, very quiet. (Although, the portable air conditioner needed in the summer is noisy - but necessary.) It is walking distance to all of the main shopping and dining options in Niagara-on-the-Lake. You can't beat the location. We had a truly wonderful stay at Finlay House Bed and Breakfast in Niagara-on-the-Lake. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality from Yvonne the house manager was exceptional — warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. She went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care of throughout our stay. Our room was spotless, cozy, and full of charm, making it the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. Every morning we looked forward to the absolutely delicious breakfasts she prepared — not only beautifully presented but made with care and attention to detail. She also gave us fantastic suggestions for things to do and places to eat in the area, including Aura On The Lake, which ended up being one of our favourite dining experiences. Finlay House itself is adorable, full of character, and incredibly cozy. One of the highlights was the large wrap-around balcony, which we thoroughly enjoyed during the quiet mornings and relaxing evenings. The location is perfect — just a short 5-minute walk to the main area, yet far enough to enjoy some peace and tranquility away from the bustle. Overall, it was a truly enjoyable experience, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit.
