The A/C cools the unit quickly and is a perfect spot to crash. Located in the center of the whole island, the location of the Zen Den is extremely desirable. The speed limit on this road is 25MPH, and there is a possibility of noise from traffic to be heard in the unit, even at night. My partner and I came to Bar Harbor to hike, bike the carriage roads, and have a comfortable clean place to rest each night. This property is perfect for travelers planning to be out and about most of their stay. Perfectly sized for two and has just what you need. Very helpful to have washer/dryer in site. You can grab laundry detergent from the gas station just down the street. Great communication. Very clean. Will definitely be back again. ##### Bridgette K. The location is really great for visiting both sides of the island. Quick drive to almost everything. The space is likely more accommodating for shorter/smaller guests, as I am a 6' male and I bumped my head a few times on the angled ceiling. Was in no way a deal breaker, however this limited my ability to stand tall in about 50% of the space. Great amenities with full service free laundry downstairs. Felt very safe and enjoyed the stay! Unfortunately, other guests did not respect the trash policy and dumped food and other waste directly into the bins outside, which smelled bad. I also think it would be nice if the yard space was a shared space, as I didn't see anyone taking advantage of the space during my stay, yet it was off limits for the zen den visitors. Would not recommend for tall people because the sloped ceiling resulted in us hitting our head several times.
