Stay at Peyre Blanque with Serge and Léa, father and daughter, whose farm inn, Les Chênes, is renowned throughout the region for both the quality of its cuisine and its lively, friendly evenings. Hospitality and good food are a tradition here. Léa and Serge have set up a processing facility to turn their farm-fresh produce into ready-to-eat dishes so you can sample their creations. Catering services are available as an option and by reservation (from the farmhouse inn), as are breakfasts. Fresh farm products and farm-made preserves are available for purchase. Nestled between the Vère and Aveyron valleys, the Grésigne Forest is surrounded by hilltop or fortified villages: Bruniquel, Puycelsi, Penne... It will surprise you with its depth and serenity—a favorite spot in the fall for listening to the deer rut or for mushroom picking—dotted with hiking trails to explore on horseback, on foot, or by mountain bike. ** THE COTTAGE ** The Peyre Blanque cottage is a standalone unit, located behind the farmhouse inn and the owners’ home. It features private access and a private garden. Single-story cottage: - living room with seating area and TV, dining room, and fully equipped open kitchen: oven, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer, microwave, toaster, filter coffee maker and Nespresso pod machine, electric kettle… Off the hallway, each bedroom has a private bathroom with a toilet, sink, and shower. Each has a separate entrance from the outside. Two bedrooms have a 160x200cm double bed, one bedroom has two 90x200cm beds that can be joined together, and the last bedroom has a bunk bed and a double bed. Outside: two large terraces—one is covered at the front of the house and overlooks the garden. The other terrace at the back, next to the kitchen, overlooks the private pool. Large enclosed area with a pétanque court, patio furniture, a barbecue, and a plancha grill. The 8x4 pool is open year-round and is heated from late May through late September, weather permitting.
