This home has high-speed fiber internet connection for work or personal streaming needs. Plenty of comforting knickknacks and pictures adorn the walls, making you feel right at home. You will also be within relatively short driving distance of the Lake Lure Flowering Bridge and Chimney Rock restaurants and shops. Take in all the colors of the plants and the Earth at Chimney Rock State Park. RESORT AMENITIES Rumbling Bald Resort amenities include a heated pool, two outdoor pools, a lazy river (open Memorial Day to Labor Day), hot tub, spa and wellness center, mini golf, basketball and tennis courts, lawn games, playground. THINGS TO KNOW \-Lake Lure notice: Pontoon boats and non-motorized vessels may be no longer than 28 feet. RUMBLING BALD GUEST PASSES \-This property is not located within the Rumbling Bald gated area, but has full access to all associated amenities. \-Guest Passes for Rumbling Bald can be picked up daily between 8:30am and 7:30pm at the Guest Services Desk in the lobby of Legends on the Lake. \-The name listed on the reservation is required to collect the passes. \-It is preferred that reservations are submitted at least 5 days prior to arrival to avoid delays in receiving any guest passes. \-Your reservation will need to include the number of guests 12 and over in order to receive the correct number of passes. \-There is a $50 fee if any passes need replacement. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles. Security camera details: only one. facing the driveway. The scenery is beautiful. The home was very clean. The decks were so nice to sit out on in the evenings and early mornings. Everything worked fine and the fire pit was terrific to have each night. The kitchen was very well stocked. We certainly appreciated the Vacasa General Manager ensuring that we had extra bedding for the person who slept on the couch. Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience a week before our stay with the local person who was supposed to be the property manager - so we dealt with the Vacasa General Manager of the entire area of Western NC and SC. Sue R. was fantastic - she really understood our frustration and fixed all of the miscommunications and non-communications quickly. We are all very appreciative that she stepped in and helped us. The house was serene and worked well for the 4 of us. Only issue was lack of water pressure, but that's probably common in that area. It is on a beautiful street but is up in the mountains- about 5-7 minutes to get to the Rumbling Bald resort area. We enjoyed walking the neighborhood (not very many houses so mostly just beautiful woods) but it is very hilly. Amenities at Rumbling Bald were great and easy to access. The place was setup well to just bring in food, etc and be ready to cook and get some downtime. Some issues with the cleaning quality, dog toy and bone under the couch, lots of dog hair under furniture and fans needed a really good cleaning. Otherwise good. Super peaceful near end of the road and likely wouldnt stay here again as the outdoor space just wasnt comfortable and that was disappointing but also I get it if you arent there so the furniture choices have to be sparse and metal. ##### Carl J. The property was clean and comfortable, but could definitely do with a little tlc and updating. We were thrilled with how well-stocked the house and kitchen were. I must say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cardinal property! Traveling in 30 deg weather with children we greatly appreciated coming into a nice and toasty home. I will say, the driveway was a bit misleading. It was listed as being able to fit 8 cars and we had a Ford Explorer, Stinger and an Altima and we barely fit. Also, on the very last day, our guests got locked in the upstairs room.. the door was a bit tricky. Other than that we all enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider renting again! My wife is 75 and slipped in the tub with nothing to hang on to. Her head struck the commode and left her with a large gash that required 9 staples and an MRI at the local hospital. An inexpensive handicap bar would have prevented that. Other than that it is a great place. ##### David C.
