Fantastic!

This was the perfect place for our family to stay for our two weeks in Marathon! It was much larger than I expected. Plenty of room for us and our teenage boys. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook with. We rented a boat and it was perfect to have it just a few steps from the front door. The outside was a perfect place to relax, grill and spend some quality family time. We got to see Iguanas, Pelicans, Sting Rays and a family of Manatees came and hung out with us for at least 45 mins. The fish cleaning station is fantastic and right there. The Manatees love fresh water so like to bath in the running water from the fish cleaning station. One thing that was a real pleasant surprise that the photos don’t show,in the living room behind the closed curtains are huge glass windows/sliding doors with the best view! You can sit on the couch and watch the boats go by (not many boats, it’s a nice, quiet canal), or be in the kitchen preparing meals and see the water/boats outside. The owner, Charles, was very nice and very helpful giving us great suggestions on places to eat. The area is extremely pet friendly. We could walk to a park/small beach, the Cabana Club, a gift store and Mexican, Pizza and ice cream store. Overall, we absolutely loved this place and it was the perfect home away from home.

Nice change from my normal life

Needed this getaway for a few years now. Decided to take my daughters on a trip to introduce them to a different climate. They fell in love with the place. We found out about some local hangouts and managed to stay clear of the typical tourist destinations.

Great Time

This was my third time here. Was surprised to see a for sale sign on the property. Will miss coming down and visiting KCB and Charlie. Was a great time with newbies to the Keys. The Tiki Hut, rope lights, gas bbq, and picnic table made our trip wonderful and the Cabana Club was the icing on the cake. Will be hard to find another property as comfortable and affordable. Thank you, Charlie.

Great Fl Keys Getaway

Great location, easy check-in, close to everything! Rental has everything you need, whether you're enjoying all the amenities of Key Colony or exploring the keys. Prepare your own meals and hang out, or car hop to Key West and great local restaurants. This place has it all!

Everything was good with our stay at this location. However, if the propane tank runs out, don't pay for a refill as you do not get reimbursed as promised.

Best part about the rental what is the tiki hut! The kitchen upgrade was nice

The location of the house was nice. Arriving at the house and having to get the towels out of the dryer and fold and put them away was a bit of a damper. When we went to use the garbage can out by the tiki hut open the lid and it was full, It had not been emptied. The dishwasher had not been emptied either, there was bait left in the freezer in the house and the bait freezer was almost at capacity! We brought our boat down and expected to park our trailer at the house however, the side of the house was so overgrown we couldn’t get the trailer in there and didn’t want to cut the palms back because it wasn’t our property. We had to pay an additional $100 to park our trailer. AC was on overload, no AC in the bathrooms either. I will pay a little more next time & thoroughly research the property.

Relaxing stay in Key Colony

Our family had a great time staying at Charlie’s place. Everything was as described. Easy check in. Charlie was responsive with all of our questions. House was clean. We had plenty of space for our family of 5. Would love to go back again!

Tropical Paradise

We can’t say enough good things about this rental! Mr. Charlie, the owner, went out of his way to accommodate us and make sure we had everything we needed! The unit itself was very nice with a new, updated kitchen. The location is ideal. We were able to kayak and go boating from the canal in back of the unit. The tiki hut was great to sit under in the afternoons and evenings. Key Colony is a great area. We were able to ride our bikes and take walks easily with the biking/walking lame. The Cabana Club membership was a great added plus! We enjoyed going to the pool and beach there. We have stayed in other areas of Marathon in the past and this was by far the best! We will be back!

Key Colony Beach

We absolutely loved this property! My husband and I stayed with our two pups and brought our boat. We loved being steps away from the dock! The tiki hut in the back yard was fabulous and the house had everything we needed. We were very comfortable in this home! Highly recommend!

Nice fisherman’s cottage

Odd layout, with two bedrooms in back, have to walk through one bedroom to get to the other one, but it was ok in our situation. No storage for food, but we made due by laying out non perishables on the coffee table lol. Also no light in fridge. Just a few minor inconveniences, but it’s just a fishing cottage so it is what it is.?its clean, has a bed and AC (although a little noisy). It does the job.

Perfection

This traditional ground level bungalow duplex has lots of space, large rooms, two full bathrooms, great layout... tons of charm. The back patio, quayside, has a cabana, BBQ and plenty of flying and swimming visitors passing by. We had a perfect vacation here!

Excellent rental and owner

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to KCB. The rental property was clean, spacious, and everything we needed was there. Mr. Charlie (the owner) was super friendly and checked when we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend staying here for a wonderful vacation and plan to come back. Thank you, Mr. Charlie.
