Charming relaxed

Very charming place, with excellent location. Easy to walk to the city center, but yet a little outside, thus calm at night. Very friendly host when we met him in the driveway. Small communication issues in the beginning via sms, until weunderstood that we should use whats app.

Loved the property and the pool. Great place to hang out for an hour or two between excursions.The only issue was the lack of local shops for buying breakfast etc,

Endroit bien situé et tranquille. Très facile de se stationner. Très jolie terrasse avec une vue partielle sur l'océan, cuisinette équipée et pratique. Appartement avec beaucoup de caractère: il faut aimer le charme des antiquités et c'est notre cas. Les lits sont confortables. Nos points négatifs sont une certaine odeur d'humidité dans le logement, le filet d'eau de la douche peu efficace et les grattements d'une bestiole durant la nuit -que nous n'avons pu identifier.

Ruhig und Bescheiden

Die Innenstadt von Funchal ist fußläufg, ein Auto kann man problemlos vor der Tür parken, das Haus ist einfach und sauber. Man hat absolute Privatsphäre- ein Plätzchen für den ruhigen Urlaub. Der Pool ist klein aber sauber. Was mir fehlte, was eine richtig gemütliche Möglichkeit draussen zu frühstücken. Die Sitzgruppe auf den Bildern war nicht vorhanden, sondern ein kleiner einfacher Bistrotisch. Insgesamt aber ein positiver Urlaub!

Uniquely rustic in Funchal

This was a totally different experience for us. Originally the grooms quarters of an old Quinta. Basic but adequate and totally private with it’s own swimming pool and second terrace. Great for getting the sun all day. Distance view of the harbour. Not your average holiday let.

Schöne Unterkunft in toller Lage

Die Unterkunft bietet alles was man braucht. Das Highlight war der eigene Terassengarten inklusive Pool. Die Ansprechpartnerin war immer schnell erreichbar. Definitiv weiter zu empfehlen. Danke :)
