Located at Tamarron and Glacier Club, one of the premier properties in the area, with over the 700 acres associated with the resort and additional surrounding public land, this condo offers something for everyone! Our Tamarron rental guests can play Glacier's 18-hole Valley Course at an exclusive discounted rate. Details will be provided in your rental instructions. The location of this residence is exceptional because it’s close to the primary recreational amenities of the area (skiing, fishing, four-wheeling, hiking trails, mountain biking, etc.), but still close enough to town for a short trip to experience the plethora of wonderful dining and shopping opportunities in Durango. This residence features a modern kitchen, a gas fireplace and TVs in the main living space as well as the master bedroom and queen bedroom downstairs. Tamarron is one of the few complexes in the area with AC for the occasional warm summer days. Great WIFI speeds of 100+ mbps. There is a $20 per person ski shuttle to purgatory on weekends - tickets must be purchased in advance and the pick-up location is in the Valley Clubhouse parking lot. LOCATION: Tamarron sits at around 7800 feet in elevation and is just 10 minutes south of Purgatory Ski Resort and 20 minutes north of downtown Durango. GOOD TO KNOW: This property has Air Conditioning! Washer / Dryer in this condo. Please note, due to HOA regulations, this unit, and all of the units at Tamarron, DO NOT allow pets. No smoking / vaping of any kind is allowed Trailers are discouraged as there is very limited, designated space to park trailers - if you plan to bring one, please inquire first. AWD or 4WD is recommended in Winter (Dec-Mar). Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years). Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding, etc) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours, etc) activities. The condo was very clean. The views off the deck are beautiful and at night there is so little light pollution that you can really see the stars. The pools were clean and well maintained, and our son loved the playground. It is an easy walk to both of the restaurants in the property, as well as the pools and workout center. Our only slight issue was that the master bed was a hard memory foam that was just too hard and uncomfortable for my husband and I. It was further from Durango than I thought but we ended up loving the location and enjoyed being out of the city. Would definitely stay there again. Of note in regards to things to do (and nothing to do with vacation rental which was wonderful) it was difficult to navigate things to do. Purgatory offers a varieties of activities but not until mid June which was not clear on the website and finding good lakes to paddleboard on was not as easy as I thought it would be. Clean, quiet and more than large enough for a family of 5 so that everyone has space. Beds were very comfortable especially the room with the 2 beds (kids raved about them). The only two challenges we had were (1) they had no record of staying when we tried to check-in (the front desk was very helpful in trying to reach the property manager) ... other than that, I had no issues or need to communicate with them. The other item, is just be aware that there isn't much in the area as it relates to food. No restaurants (have to go back to Durango for that ... no biggie, only 20 minutes) and nearest grocery story is VERY expensive (once again, Durango is best place to go).
