This was an average experience at best
Though the staff was professional, for a 5 star hotel, they were not warm and friendly .We have stayed at The Sofitel in Paris and Asia, and this was a disappointment in both service and luxury. We paid for a luxury suite with a city view. We were placed on the 3rd floor with no view. When I requested to be moved to a higher floor we were advised that we would be moved the second day of our stay...That never happened, and there was never any follow up from them in resolving the matter. We completed our stay, however , I will never stay there again. There are many 5 star hotels in the downtown D.C. area that truly offer 5 star service.

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your comments regarding your stay with us. Please allow me to express once more my sincerest apologies about the inconvenience you met with your room. As said in the email we sent you, there has been a miscommunication when our Assistant Front Office Manager called in your room the next day in order to offer you a room on a higher floor, but wasn't able to get a hold of you. She unfortunately did not leave a message on your voicemail and we were later sold out of this kind of room located on high floors. I stay at your disposal if you would like to discuss you experience further. Warm regards,
