Location is Downtown DC. We arrived at 11pm from a 4hr ride. The front desk lady was overwhelmed with the phone ringing as we checked in. Once we got all settled with our key, we headed to our room. As everyone does, we did a walkthrough our room to see what it was like. As we opened the shower curtain there was a baby roach in the tub. There was hair on the sheets as well from the previous guest. Not sure if it was human or animal hair. We did not want to overwhelm the front desk also it was so late at Night that we decided to just go to the 7/11 for our own cleaning supply. ( saw a rat outside as walking as well). When we got back in we cleaned and We then went to bed. The next day we headed out to the food trucks. As we got back to the hotel what do we see on the floor ? Another roach. It was just very unfortunate. The hotel was too pricy to be dirty. I understand that due to the location of the hotel ( downtown / the train station is at the corner ) there’s animals and things. We didn’t expect our hotel that we paid for 2 night to be uncleaned. We do to DC a few times a year. This was our first bad hotel experience.

Property needs new furniture, clean carpets, AC was disturbing very loud, and no microwaves in rooms inconvenient to have to go downstairs to heat up food.

Staff was great, but location is very noisy and sketchy. Police sirens seem non-stop, there were protests in the street just outside our windows, and we heard nearby gunshots one evening.
