It was a beautiful cabin, very clean, the drive way was steep and very narrow hardly any room to get out of a van to unpack, but besides that it was great

Amazing Retreat
This place is exactly what I needed. It is quiet and secluded on the river. It still is close enough to major activities like river rafting, hiking trails, Mtn. Biking trails. I had stayed here in the winter because of it's proximity to Gore Ski Mtn. and XCSkiing trails. Summertime is awesome here too. The beds are comfortable and clean. There is plenty of good food nearby. Five stars all the way.👍👍
THE WHOLE TRUTH: Me and 5 of my friends went on a ski trip to gore mountain. I’ve stayed in the area quite a few times but this house for the price was definitely much better than average around here. We didn’t go out to eat so we actually cooked for all 6 of us twice a day, the kitchen was well stocked enough for us to be able to do all of that which i found better than most rental properties (had a working nice grill too. . huge plus). The house stayed warm the whole night (plenty of extra blankets and pillows) and the wifi was actually really good for the area. The property care takers (owner, plow truck service, rental management company) were all very nice and attentive. Everything was very easy to understand and there’s a binder in the house with an answer to almost any question along with places to go. Me and my friends found this place great especially for the price and we had a very good time. A lot of people complained about the driveway but we had no problem (we did bring two off-roading trucks though) even in the 2 inch ice storm we had first night we made it up the driveway just fine and didn’t find it to be small at all. It’s a little steep but that was ok I think most cars should be able to climb it. Overall we had a really good 5 days here and would definitely do it again 10/10.

Misleading and unkept.
The grounds were unkept, it wasn’t as clean as we expected it to be, it is not family friendly for those that have small children. Parking is a major issue. We felt as though the transmission was going to fall out of our vehicle every time we put it into gear. The keyless entry was difficult to use.

The place was comfortable and suited our needs. Parking and unloading the cars was difficult as there wasn’t much room on either driveway to walk around the car once in top of the hill by the house. We also had an issue with hot water and the showers. There was only hot water for two people and the rest of the party had ice cold showers. When contacted about the issue it took 4 hours for a response and by that time we had already left for plans in the evening.

Driveway is very steep!! Not much room to get out of your cars once you are at the top by the cabin. House is very hot and there are no fans except in the living room. Take extra towels unless you want to use the same one the whole time you are there. Take your own pots and pans if you plan on cooking. They offer the BARE MINIMUM of everything!!!! Atleast sitting on the deck listening to the river was peaceful.

At first glance it the house was clean. Upon further inspection, we found food under the futon in the living room, cobwebs all over the kitchen ceiling, a dirty pot in the cabinet, and someone else’s belongings under the bed. The fire pit area was overgrown and the fire pit was full of ashes. The property grounds were very unkept. We have little kids and just felt that this rental was not family friendly. There wasn’t much to do while we were inside the house to keep the littles entertained. Being able to see the Hudson River and the close proximity to the outdoor adventures we had planned were the only positives about this rental. The lack of parking was to be expected, but the turn around spot pictured in the photos was so overgrown we couldn’t use it. Also, the keyless entry was difficult to use. We felt that this always a bare minimum rental. Nothing about it went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed or at home.
The cabin is quiet and serene as described. But, please be aware of several things. 1. The “coin laundry” is not on site and the local laundromat hours are limited. 2. There is no foil, Saran Wrap, Tupperware or storage containers for leftovers, zip locks/bags, or cooking oil. Salt and pepper are the only spices on site. There were ten people on our reservation and we ran out of dish soap, toilet paper, and dishwasher soap on the third day. When these items were requested they were denied. The door was found unlocked upon arrival. We watched YouTube videos to try to lock it but were unable to. The management agency was rude on the phone when this was reported and never called back with instructions or a solution. I asked to speak with the owners but was denied, so unfortunately, this is my only venue for feedback. The instructions for checkout differ between the binder in the house and the emails from the management agency. We did our best. Also, if you are unable to locate the dustpan during your stay, check under the trash bag in the kitchen. That’s where we found it as we cleared trash at checkout. The cabin is close to a lot of great white water rafting and hiking. Thank you for having us.
