The check-in process was straightforward, and there was a good line of communication with the host. The property is perfect for a Vermont get-away, and the location is excellent.

Historic Home in Beautiful Warren, VT

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The home was lovingly restored and attention to detail was evident both in the house and the grounds. The stonework and outdoor spaces are spectacular.

Perfect

Property was perfect. It was just what we needed for our 5 day stay. Place was clean and had everything we needed to make the stay comfortable. And being pet friendly was a huge plus.

Impressive location in a quintessentially lovely Vermont village. Close to so many VT offerings: hiking, swimming, boating, shopping and lots of food options. The house has “colonial” era ambiance, colors and charming antiques, extraordinary landscaping and view over the Mad River. Could use some TLC with the furniture and lighting (dark, the website pics are using extensive supplemental lighting giving a false sense imo of the light). The barn for us was unusable for suggested tv watching as we couldn’t obtain decent online access, leaving a much smaller tv option, far from the couch in the main LR.

Warren Vacation

The location of the house and barn is excellent. For whatever reason we did not pickup on the fact that there are two buildings. Since there were only two of us we only used the house. Also there is no A/C in the barn. The house is an antique so it has a lot of charm. It is well equipped and we found it to be a comfortable place to spend 2 weeks. The TV could stand to be much bigger (there is a big TV in the barn but we couldn’t figure out how to get our apps on it). The bed in the house is a double and as an antique has some creaks.

Such a great house!

We were nervous booking this since it had no reviews, but it was absolutely perfect for our needs. The main house is adorable and has everything you could need, and my kids and their friend LOVED the outbuilding, which they dubbed the Man Cave. We would absolutely stay here again. We were visiting the area for family weekend at Norwich U, where our son is a rook. The rook semester is incredibly rough on kids and their first time off campus and out of the military grind is family weekend, where they’re released for two separate and brief overnights, where they can wear civilian clothes (in private only) and make their own schedule for the first time since mid-August. We had two rooks staying with us, our son and a friend, and the setup was perfect for them. They logged SO many hours of sleep in the bunks in the outbuilding loft. Great restaurants nearby and a really great stay overall. It was a bummer that the bridge was out, but even without the bridge it was a manageable walk into Warren village.
