A nice stay at Atman Residences in La Veleta
Located in the La Veleta neighborhood the townhome at Atman Residences is a very nice, very comfortable plan. The two pools are refreshing and a nice addition as is the privacy throughout. The property manager (Quentin) was attentive and responded extremely quickly to any and all requests.
It was super handy having the large, outdoor space for rinsing off our scuba gear each day and then hanging up to dry.
During our stay we parked on the street out front (there's no parking garage) but had no problems at all. The front desk by the main entrance is always staffed and I got the sense they kept a close eye on things.
Drinking water is not provided. Not really a big deal with the Chedraui and Super Aki grocery stores an easy drive away, but for those who travel frequently in Mexico you might be expecting to have the standard 5-gallon water cooler in the kitchen. Not so... at least for now.
As a "newish" rental, the kitchen was rather sparsely supplied with cookware and implements. I suspect over time this will be remedied with a few necessary additions.
Extremely important you also understand what La Veleta is all about. The roads are not paved and depending on the time of year can be somewhat tricky to navigate. (After a few days we got very accustomed to the weaving pattern needed to avoid the bigger potholes.)
All in all, we thought it was a nice place and would certainly recommend it. The next time we come to town we would strongly consider staying again.
