(NOTE: The other apartment in this building is VRBO listing #1985338\. To accommodate larger groups, both units may be rented together when available upon request.) \* BEACH ACCESS: Easy 3-minute stroll down to the beach. Take the shortcut next to the Blue Parrot restaurant, or you can stroll another block down the walking/bike path to the St. George Lighthouse Park / Museum. Wear masks whenever you leave the apartment, practice 6-foot minimum social distancing wherever you go, and plan to bring your own food, condiments, and other consumable supplies that you may need during your stay. If you do not plan to do these things, please, please do not visit the island during this period! It's important, and it is part of our official "guest rules" at this time. We are so sorry that we must be so strict and that we cannot offer you the usual amenities, but we do want you, our cleaning staff, and everyone on St. George Island to remain safe! The bedrooms were super comfortable with high end pillows and mattresses and plush carpet. The water pressure in the shower is fantastic. My teens loved being center island. You can walk to everything. We still drove to the beach because the parking here is so easy, and we drove to the state park of course, but you could also walk to the beach. You have a view of the ocean from the huge deck, and you can sit out and listen to the live music at BJ’s next door. The real estate office downstairs is quiet and we never had trouble with parking. The laundry room is downstairs but it’s nice and easy access and it’s large capacity. We only had to do one load. Everything works great (AC, ice maker, dishwasher, etc.) It was a fantastic rental and the owner was immediately responsive when I had questions. Price wise, we paid the same last year for a 3 bed/2 bath house in Eastpoint with a bay view across the road. The price is very fair for what it is. I never heard back from them by the time I needed the code to actually check in the next day. It was only then that I found an email that had been sent to me with the code but NO actual call or text message was sent which is what I asked for… ##### Tommy L. The property however is extremely tired. Not only does it need a thorough cleaning, top to bottom but there were many maintenance items that were neglected and ignored. Missing tiles in the bathroom, fan vents in dire need of cleaning door jams in need of replacement, dirty furniture, kitchen tools ie spots and pans that were way past their use. This property desires better as do the people who rent it. ##### Wayne M. It was clean and convenient to the beach and all the other venues on the island. The internet was out the entire week which really put a damper on my ability to work and stream TV. The owner was responsive on the issue but unfortunately, the internet was never restored. He supplied a backup wifi connection, but the bandwidth was poor. We ended up using our hotspot when we needed it. ##### Lee L. First impression was the key pad not opening and we had to call the property owner (didn't answer) and then VRBO which took about 1/2 hour on hold and speaking to the rep. Owner finally called and said we were operating the door wrong, though we believe the lock was stuck and not cycling open (even though it was making noise). Finally it opened after about 20 tries and worked most of the time the rest of the stay. Property appeared clean (though socks got dirty easily on the tile). Many of the amenities (dishwashing soap, shampoo, hand soap, etc.) were put away, so we didn't know if we were allowed to use them. We ran out of paper towels the first day (had not been replenished). One bed was very firm and the other was way too soft. The sheets and towels were soft, though. Our main concern and observation was lack of regular and routine maintenance, including the tub (backed up badly to 8 inches when you took a shower), numerous cracks in walls and tile, unlevel refrigerator door (that flew open all the way when you opened it), dirty tile floor, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, cracks in ALL of the window seals, stained and very old bedroom carpet, rusted window coverings, etc.. One of the bedrooms has a door to the porch and its VERY noisy when the neighbor guests sat on the porch and talked at all hours of the morning and night.
