Just a basic inn with a bed to sleep in. Everything is extremely basic, which helps keep costs down — and I do appreciate that. However, cleanliness could definitely be improved. The banisters and tables were sticky, and the room had a musty smell. The television could have been made to work better. The Ship is a really interesting and authentic place to stay and provides excellent food, drink and service. Free public parking advertised, but there is none had to pay for parking about 5 minutes walk away. It was very noisy, especially in the early morning, dustmen, bottle collecting and deliveries.
