I am not sure about the other rooms but the room smelled of smoke. Although smoking is not allowed the prior occupant likely smoked in the room and the smell was still there. Although the air conditioner was running, the smoke smell remained.
Since this was just a one night stay, it was tolerated but will check in earlier to hopefully be able to switch rooms. Otherwise it was ok.
This motel type establishment has very modern and clean bathrooms with marble floors and walls as well hot and strong showers. The quality of the deluxe rooms is much better than what you would find in most hotels for half the hotel price.
My experience at this hotel was exceptionally pleasant. Upon our arrival, the satff was extremely friendly, even my 19 year old grand daughter noticed that. Her comment was " I like it hear, they make you feel welcome and important". I agreed. Plus we were in a hurry heading to a wedding the room was great for us to manuver around. Everything was nice about this stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. All was well.
Another Detroit suburb, Southfield is home to nearly 80,000 people. The Southfield Town Center, an office complex with a Westin hotel and a conference center; and the American Center, a high-rise office tower, are found here.
