The Antico Torre is a 16th century hotel, and has been kept in this style to fit into historic Siena. The room was comfortable, and there was lots of hot water. The view from our room was lovely over the rooftops, and ir was quiet bearing in mind the central location. Breakfast was acceptable although there wasn't a lot of choice, when compared to the other small hotels we had stayed in Tuscany. However bearing in mind the available space in the basement, they had done the best they could. There are 3 breakfast tables and 7 rooms, on one occasion we had to wait in reception for a table to become free.
The rooms are accessed by flights of stone steps which means it would be impossible for an elderly person, or someone with mobility problems, as there is no lift or a male member of staff to carry any cases upstairs. Nb we had to walk up 6 flights of stairs to get to our room, and it was a struggle with our cases even though we are able bodied.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Wi-Fi was provided however there was no password protection.
