Great house directly on the Illinois River. Amazing view with a large deck to sit and enjoy all day long. The home is fully and newly furnished with everything that you will need to feel right at home. Whether you are looking for a weekend away to sit and relax or if you are coming to the area for the numerous River and wildlife activities, you are sure to fall in love with this home. A 1000 pictures cannot capture the beauty that await.

This is a good VRBO.Pros: 1. Great location on the river. 2. Beautiful views. 3.Excellent host communication. 4. Easy check in.Cons: 1. Unit was a bit dirty -- lots of spider webs and dead bugs. 2. Main suite does not have central air / heat. Portable cooling unit that took many hours to cool the room. 3. Host does not want you to wear shoes in unit. Not a problem for us since that is what we do at home but should be clearer in description.

Had a fantastic week staying here with our party of 6. Plenty of room for everyone to get comfy and a fantastic game area in the garage/first floor. Each evening we were able to relax out on the wrap around patio overlooking the river. The property was well equipped to make our stay comfortable and the communication with the host was excellent. Thank you for having us.

Great House

Loved the house. It was very clean and well kept. Owner was great. My kids loved playing darts and the billiard table. Loved the views of the river and big deck. Only regret was the weather wasn’t a little warmer to enjoy the deck more. Would definitely stay here again.

River Respite

The photos in the listing do not do this property justice. It is very clean, comfortable and has all you would need to feel right at home! You can tell the family who owns it takes pride in caring for others. The river offers a unique mix of soothing water sounds, friendly little wildlife and the occasional traveling barge. Whatever you might need is a short distance away, but you are far enough away in a very quiet neighborhood.

Excellent property

The property was just as advertised. Upon arrival we were very appreciative of the garage, as it was raining that evening, and it was great to be able to unpack the vehicles inside. The view of the river from the deck was great. We did not spend a lot of time at the house, as we were visiting relatives in the area, but that would have been a very nice place to relax and unwind at the end of the day for anyone that would be spending more of their time at the home. This would definitely be my first choice to check out again for a stay in this area.

Extended holiday stay

Enjoyed the river views and barge traffic while staying warm and cozy indoors. Perfect size for a family of four. Close to grocery but remote enough to have a break from the hustle and bustle of city life. Jason was a good communicator and responsive when needed.

Perfect for Family

For my first time renting a vacation home, words cannot express how amazing this place was. The house was beautiful and provided a very relaxing environment for my family and me. It was clean and tidy when we arrived, beautifully decorated and provided all of the basic amenities that we needed for a family of seven. The house was very spacious compared to being cramped into two hotel rooms for 7 days and enjoyed by all. It provided a very cozy and welcoming atmosphere on the Illinois River. My granddaughters loved watching the barges going up and down the river. Mr. Jason was an awesome host. He was easy to contact when needed and provided excellent customer service. Overall, the stay was very memorable, and we had an absolutely fantastic time staying at the house. We would definitely rent again when returning to Illinois.

Grandchildren in Rome

Wonderful location with beautiful views of the Illinois river. The barge traffic was fascinating for our grandchildren and us. Nice having a garage to park in and the bumper pool table, ping pong, and darts got a good workout. Lots of great activities a short drive away. We also enjoyed the large great room for dining, playing games, and chilling on the couch with a good movie. Would highly recommend.
