good hotel with free car parking

Posted 21-Jul-2017
Pros: free car parking, pleasant spacious hotel lobby
Cons: the bathroom in my room needs repair and updated, I had a little bit difficulty dealing with plumbing but it worked.
Location: need car or shuttle to do anything.
I was looking for a decent hotel with easy enter/exit to city of Rome and free parking as well. The parking space was tight though. The Wifi speed was excellent in the lobby but didnt work in my room on the first floor, meanwhile somehow my cell phone signal got blocked in the room so I lost access to my cell data as well. The family room I stayed was sufficient for 2 adults and 2 children and it was quiet compared with my stay in another hotel in Rome vatican neighborhood. However, there was not much within easy walking distance. I only stayed a short one night so I didnt use hotel facility much.

Great Hotel close to all.

Posted 18-Jul-2017
Location: There is some shopping nearby didn't do much as we were only in town for one night.
So happy we found this hotel. Short cab ride from Vatican (public transportation also available). Clean, beautiful and modern. Staff was exceptional and gave us a great lesson on how not to be taken advantage by cab drivers. The restaurant is top notch and the wait staff was outstanding. Great value. The included breakfast was more than enough to satisfy even the most picky eater. Pool is small but refreshing considering the heat in July in Rome. Pool table in the lobby and plenty of places to lounge and have a drink. Outdoor rooftop terrace also another great hangout spot. Hotel seriously has it all including a small workout area.

WIFI did not work, uncomfortable beds, old carpet

Posted 12-Jul-2017
Pros: Helpful staff and free breakfast with coffee bar
Cons: Make sure WIFI works! Replace the old carpeting because it really hurts to walk on after traversing through Rome all day. More variety at breakfast.
Location: You can get anywhere by using the Metro.
The best things about this hotel are the helpful staff and proximity to the Metro. I booked this trip six months in advance and requested a high floor with a view; however, when I arrived, the room was unacceptable. It faced a brick wall and the beds were hard as rocks. They moved us to a second room with the same exact hard beds and a partially obstructed view. It also hard a hard-wood floor with an overwhelming smell of wood floor cleaner that gave me an instant headache. I asked them to move us once more and the third room was the smallest, but it had a nice view of the neighborhood. The carpet was stained and almost as hard as the wood floors in the previous room and the bathroom was ridiculously small. I was so tired after the intercontinental flight, I decided to suck it up and stay in the room. I asked them to replace the mattress.
Comment from Hotel Management

Hello, Our Wifi works quite good for Italian standard, unfortunately during the stay of this Guest there was a problem on the network due to updating on the line from the company that provides us the service, so we are sorry for a few days slow internet. The Carpet is not old, we have changed it only 7 years ago ... not sure how to reply to the comment that the carpet is hard to walk on ... this is the first time that I hear that can be hard to walk on a carpet ... we may have to change it with the roman stones ;-)

Small boutique hotel the staff was great!

Posted 12-Jul-2017
The hotel was nice and the staff was nice however the free breakfast wasn't that great and with sightseeing in Italy you can be out for the entire day so having a nice breakfast would be appreciated especially when traveling with children. As Americans we were shocked to learn there were NO wash cloths at all in the hotel! We were told wash cloths aren't used (shocked)! Besides these issues this is a nice boutique hotel

Very nice hotel, easy to access all tourist sites.

Posted 7-Jul-2017
Pros: location, staff, cleanliness
Cons: softer pillows
The Grand Hotel Tiberio was like an oasis in the city centre of Rome. We traveled in July and it was very hot, so extremely good to come back to a clean, air-conditioned hotel room. The hotel staff are very nice and helpful, the restaurant food is excellent, and although they can make some very good local recommendations, it's quite convenient, at times, to eat in the hotel. The pool was also very good to come back to after a day of sight seeing. It's quite small, but enough to cool off. Umberto, at the front desk, was particularly helpful and gave us some good tips about taking public transport and also some "insider" tourist tips. He definitely knew the city well. I traveled with a teen and an elderly parent, and staff made us all feel special.

Nice, clean hotel. Friendly and helpful. staff

Hotel has many perks. Free wifi, clean, free shuttle to town & Vatican (friendly, prompt driver), free breakfast (many tasty options), amazing food and ambience at restaurant for dinner, large rooms and bathrooms. The carpet and closets are a bit dated, but nice colors on walls.

A very enjoyable stay.

Posted 24-Jun-2017
Pros: Just about everything!
Cons: Sound insulation.
Location: This hotel is not within walking distance to Rome city center. However, it does have a free shuttle service.
This is a very nice hotel in a quiet neighborhood. Grocery store, ATMs, restaurants, cafes and an excellent gelato place that are all within a easy walking distance. The 4 twin beds took up most of the space, but since we were mostly away during the daytime it worked out perfect for our family! The hotel has a free shuttle service that will take you either to the Vatican city or Rome city center. And it will pick you up from where it dropped you off. The shuttle does book up fast, so be sure to make your reservation early.

A lovely Hotel....

Posted 4-Jun-2017
My self,my wife and my two young kids stayed here for three days.Staff very friendly and accommodating. There is a small pool that the kids loved. The restaurant was nice but a little pricey I thought. They have a free shuttle bus that takes you to the center of things and takes you back to the Hotel st 5 or six different times of the day..book these. This was very helpful and saved us money...The only negative I would give is that they switched the air con off late at night so the room did get a bit warm..but this may change depending when you go... Thanks
