Great hotel, comfort and location good

Posted 3-Sep-2015
Great clean hotel, great hotel food. Treat is the little pool to cool down. Free shuttle bus to Vatican & city. Perfect holiday retreat not centre bustle of rome City, little further out in peaceful quieter area. you need to be prepared to walk a bit if you get metro and bus, but that's all the fun of a city holiday - walk to see the sights of Rome. If you don't like walking at all - not hotel for you. We were family of 5 with 3 young kids under 11, they were fine with 15 min walk to metro or bus round corner. We enjoyed the hotel & found it a little haven away from busy city. Lovely to discover Quieter Rome outside the main tourist centre of Rome as well, but close enough to visit centre of Rome everyday too! Wonderful hotel, sad to leave the friendly polite staff there!!

Almost Perfect!

Posted 3-Sep-2015
Pros: The decor, breakfast and pool area were all great.
Cons: The bed which was too hard and the TV reception
Location: The location was near the 990 bus stop, supermarkets were nearby and it was10 minutes from Cipro Metro.
We had a very enjoyable family stay. The decor, breakfast, location, garden, pool and service were all excellent. Our only moan was that the beds were rock hard and there were too few pillows.

The hotel was very nice, and proper.

The food, the room, the staff were all ok, however the location of the hotel is not very very good…. if you are ready to walk this is your hotel… but is not so close of restaurants. there are some busses closed.

The Grand Tiberio

Posted 31-Aug-2015
Pros: The pool and the gym. The breakfast area was clean and bright.
Cons: The pool area could be better maintained and there is room for a bigger pool which would probably attract more customers.
Location: The location is questionable because the walk back in the evening cannot be done alone. It is ok, but not ideal if travelling alone or without a male.
The late night barman was exceptional in both his manner and the way in which he served us.

3* clean hotel with close suburban train station

Posted 27-Aug-2015
Clean room, metro station a bit far, 20 min walk, hotel shutle should be reserved well in advance, breakfast ok but nothing to look forward to, staff at front desk in general quite nice except for one guy .. i would stay again if traveling with family and on a budget.

Not great for big parties

Posted 23-Aug-2015
Pros: In general a clean hotel. The lobby was modern and clean. The resturant had decent food and prices. Nicely done back garden with the pool and lounge.
Cons: Fix the door knobs that are about to fall off. update the carpets with hardwood floors. improve the AC. Control mosquitoes near the pool.
Location: The location of the hotel was further out from the central Rome area but still accessible via bus. Walkable to the Vatican (about 15-20 min walk).
The free shuttle, one of the reasons we selected the hotel, was not run frequently enough to accommodate our large party. If you have a group of larger than 8, then you won't be able to use the shuttle. The shuttle is basically one minivan that runs every 40 mins from 8:20 to 17:30. Our party, except one late to the group (who booked separately), was placed on the first floor. The latecomer (the only group not needing a family room) was on the 5th floor. BIG difference between the rooms on 1st floor vs the one's on the 5th floor. Hardwood floors vs outdated old worn out carpets, Large balcony overlooking the nearby running track vs window looking out on the walls of the elevated running track. Door handles that came off when you closed the door were common on the 1st floor rooms we had. The swimming pool was small but clean, however after 30 mins of feeding the myriad of mosquitoes around the pool, the kids didn't even want to swim anymore.

Hôtel excentré et un peu décevant

Posted 23-Aug-2015

Lovely Hotel in a quiet area

Posted 19-Aug-2015
Pros: Looks as good as its photo Easy access to Rome Friendly helpful staff Excellent facilities
Cons: wifi a bit slow..more fresh fruit at breakfast and fresh tomato too would be nice
Location: Location really quiet near to Appiano train station and 15 minutes walk to cipro metro also 990 bus stop across the road right into vatican city
Hotel in a nice area only 15 min walk from Cipro metro into Rome centre or train station less than 5 mins away shops are close by plus decent places to eat if you don't want to stay in the hotel...However the restaurant in the hotel is excellent and not too pricey as you would think and the waiters are very helpful and happy...small gym and sauna available plus a room set up with iron and board very thoughtful idea there is also a small pool and sun bathing area on the 1st floor (lucky for us being in room 101) ideal for the chill out time after the busy City centre days. Rooms are clean and comfortable and are cleaned every day plus fresh towels too the cleaners are lovely ladies.Up on the roof there is a covered terrace to sit out on later at night. The complimentary breakfast is lovely especially the coffee. The reception staff are excellent and very helpful also there is a free shuttle bus each day into Rome but you need to book on in advance.Would stay here again without a doubt and recommend to friends..Thank you Hotel Tiberio and Staff for a lovely relaxing time in a great place to visit x

No way worthy of 4 stars, food is awful!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted 17-Aug-2015
This hotel was quite a disappointment, my boyfriend and I had come down from Umbria and as we were tired we decided to try to restaurant. We were shocked, the meals we had were terrible, I'd say 2/10. Breakfast is the same. Shame because it appears a nice hotel otherwise mostly but area is also is run down.
