This hotel wasn’t quite a luxurious as it seemed in the write up/photos, however it was clean which is important. The bar is expensive, it’s much cheaper to drink elsewhere. The Spa is a nice addition, but is restricted to one hour and very ‘snug’ - unless you pay for the private area. One hour in the shared spa was 20€ Inc steam room, shower & sauna and a body massage was 70€. I personally wouldn’t recommend it, but only due to the price. The masseuse Laura was very lovely. The hotel is very close to the train station & check in was simple. There are two lifts to the room floors, and one staircase. The breakfast service is very slow, only one server most of the time, which meant you felt compelled to get as much as possible to avoid having to re-queue & resulting in your food being cold. Food options consist of hot items such as egg, bacon, sausage, & toast (which takes an age!) cold foods such as French toast & croissants, then yoghurt, fruits and cheese. A hot drinks machine served coffee and hot water for tea, and a cold drinks machine offers orange & pineapple juice. Rooms were cleaned everyday, our ‘double’ was two beds pushed together. The drawers smelt so we avoided using them. The room had a safe which was helpful. The water pressure in the bathroom sink was very low, but the bathroom was very clean. There was also a kettle. Our balcony overlooked a back street & bins, but I suppose that the luck of the draw! The stay was pleasant, but we personally would not return.
