Pool was not open! What a bummer. The city tax is ridiculously expensive. $40 euros for 5 nights! They don’t give you anything if you ask them. No kettle to borrow, you have to go to the bar to ask for hot water and a glass. They give you two soaps for the entire stay. No shampoo, hair conditioner, nor body wash. It’s all in one kind of soap. Disappointing for a 4 stars hotel. Except for the decor, everything is lacking. The bed is comfortable though and the ac is good.

Great Hotel, beautiful esthetic and excelelent breakfast! Also very close to the vatican. The only problem was that their spa was not accesible/out of service which was the main reason i booked this particular hotel

The only reason we booked this particular hotel was for the POOL- WHICH WAS CLOSED. They notified us it was closed 2 days before our stay. It was 100° in Italy every day of our stay. They offered us 3 complimentary soft drinks for pool being closed. THEY WOULD NOT LET US CANCEL OUR RESERVATION OR GIVE US A REFUND AND CHOOSE A HOTEL WITH A POOL.

Absolutely wonderful hotel!!! The staff is so friendly and helpful I felt like they knew me and treated me so well. Hotel has very unique decor. The only disappointing thing was that the wellness area (including the swimming pool) was closed for maintenance. Not sure why they decided to do it in the middle of the tourist season! I will definitely be staying in any Mama Shelter hotels from now on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
