Secluded near the end of a wooded lane, this property provides a wonderful holiday get-away for small or large groups.
Relax in the hot tub and enjoy the view of passing whales and dolphins, cruise ships and ferries.

With a large veranda-like living area offering south western exposure, light warms the natural wood finish. Bamboo furniture and built in bench seats offer a unique flair. French doors open from the living room to the surrounding deck.
For chillier evenings, an airtight wood burning stove adds warmth. The corridor kitchen makes cooking a breeze. Three bedrooms and Two bathrooms provide ample accommodation for larger groups.

Year-round, you'll enjoy the view of the mountains of Vancouver Island, fantastic sunsets, and the twinkling lights of Campbell River. You gaze upon the main marine channel for the west coast, watching freighters, fish boats, ferries and other working vessels that regularly travel the waters of Discover Passage.
Or join the deer and wander the trails throughout the area.
This reservation has a Firm cancellation policy - refunds will be issued up to 60 days prior to the check in date.
A 100% refund is provided for travellers cancelling at least 60 days before check-in. A 50% refund is provided for travellers cancelling from 30 to 59 days before check-in. Cozy cottage, amazing view
We enjoyed our stay thoroughly! The house was spotlessly clean, Eric went the house before we got there turned on the heat so it was warm and cozy on our arrival. Checked in to make sure we had arrived safely and liked the place. The house had everything we needed and everything was in working order. The bed was so comfy. A suggestion for future guests, bring a pair of binoculars as the little island directly across from the deck has an active eagles nest, seals in the waters surrounding and if you’re lucky like we were, porpoises. Watching the seagulls play in the tides of discovery passage and watching the birds and eagles catch fish was amazing. This property is peaceful and serene. We visited on shoulder season so not a lot of restaurants open, but we had anticipated that and brought groceries and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook with. We were a little disappointed that there was no hot tub, but we wrapped ourselves in a blanket and watched the evening sunset from the deck. Grocery store is a 5 minute drive, wonderful hiking trails and lakes for kayaking are only a little ways away. We brought our own kayaks. We will definitely come back to this little oasis, it was good for souls to be there. Thank you Eric!

Location incomparable. Views are astounding
7 nights, plus 1 additional night stay. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will remember our time here for long into the future. Note: The photos displayed are not of the property where we stayed. The listings photos are of a different building less than 75 meters away, therefore the views and accessibility of each site are nearly identical. The differences between the photos and our reality were substantial. We were told by Eric, long before our arrival, that Otter View Cottage was not available for our stay because of a VIRBO error. The circumstance for this substitution has still not been clearly explained. We had originally reserved the Otter View cottage about two months earlier, however we were informed that we would be staying in a different cottage, Island View cottage. Although it was fine, we had wanted the reserved home as per the listing and expected that the Island View Cottage to be more similar than it is. The I.V. house was tidy but appeared unused for a period of time before our arrival. It needed airing out which was easy to do because of the excellent weather and large window openings. More window screens would be a good thing. Island View cottage is needing some building maintenance, a microwave and would benefit from some lounge style deck furniture. The beds were comfortable and the laundered items freshly washed. The BBQ is new or nearly new. There was lots of kitchenware, plates, drinking glasses etc. The laundry machines were pretty quiet too. Large bottles of drinking water were supplied by Eric and his staff. The plumbed water was free of odours and clear. In our departing conversations with Eric we came to understand his dedication and pride he has in his home(s). He generously offered that we stay an extra night without extra cost because excessive ferry traffic causing long delays on our scheduled departure day. We accepted and enjoyed an additional and unexpected day of adventuring. Be sure to attend any community or market events available and set aside time to explore Cortes Island if you can. The residents of Quadra Island are genuinely friendly and proud of their community.

Just incredible
My parents and I had THE MOST AMAZING stay! Eagles and seals playing out front in the sparkling water. The house is so comfortable and spacious, you feel at home. It’s also nice and quiet, so we slept very soundly. It is just a treat to sit on the deck and watch the activities on the water, it made it hard to leave the house and explore the island. I already am thinking about when I can come back!
