This was our 3rd time staying at Barefoot, but it may be our last. Best advice I can give is to get an upper unit. Our 1st time we had an upper. The 2nd and now 3rd time a lower unit and the noise from above is terrible! You can hear every foot step, every sliding chair, every time something is set down and often the complete conversation of those above you. I understand this depends somewhat on who's above you as this stay was worse than our last but laying in bed for an hour listening I finally called the office at 11pm to ask if they could do something or if I should do it myself. The person at front desk was happy to help but it made it worse for a time as the guests upstairs decided to make it sound as if they were coming through the ceiling instead of quieting down. Again, I understand that is about the other guests and not the resort, but why put yourself in that situation.
As far as facilities, it's nice. Well kept up for the most part but extra layers of paint can't hide the water damage on the ceiling or to the cabinets. The tile in the pool needs a good cleaning and replacement of cracked and broken tiles but the temperature was very good. The hammocks and volleyball net were not up during our stay for an unknown reason to us.
Oh, and when the upper unit flushes the toilet, you might swear you're sleeping right next to their toilet.
In short, until they add some insulation or carpet the upper units, only stay if you're a sound sleeper or get an upper unit.
