Once Upon A Time ~ Historic Waterfront View Lodge

Golden opportunity to stay in one of Hood Canal's original estates! Built in 1930 on acreage chosen for its beauty, vistas and the protected waters of Calm Cove. Situated across the street from its own private beach! Relax on the covered porch, gather around the 90-year-old fireplace, birdwatch in the surrounding woods and fields. Slip a kayak into Hood Canal and journey the short distance to Alderbrook Resort or Downtown Union. A truly unique experience that is not soon to be forgotten.

The space
As much as we love pets, this beautiful historic home has a strict no pet policy. We only accept up to 4 registered guests. Thank you and we wish you the most pleasurable stay on Hood Canal!

The Lodge is best known for its rustic logs creating a very cozy feel for up to two couples. Gather around the 90 year old epic fireplace while sipping on wine and reconnecting. The deck is a focal point allowing you to relax, dine outside or swing on the chair with your loved ones. Stroll throughout the property's acreage and capture the beauty of birds, deer and plantlife. Walk across the street to find your own private beach access to read, unwind, picnic, sunbathe and swim.

Favorite things to do while staying here:

-Enjoy a Hood Canal getaway no matter what the weather is like!

-Enjoy kayaks for only $25 per kayak (for your entire stay) with life vests and first aid kits. Ask Kerry to have the kayaks ready prior to your arrival.

-Relax, unwind, be captivated by nature.

-Enjoy the action of the community.

-Take a day trip hiking the Olympic National Forest.

-Only minutes away from Alderbrook Resort & Spa, Robin Hood Village (with its live music venue), Alderbrook Golf Course, Union Country Store, Union City Market and much more. We have a full kitchen and small barbecue (stocked with charcoal and lighter fluid) for you to prepare meals and gather after a full day of fun.

-Launch your boat at the Hood Canal Marina located only 1 mile away (fishing, shrimping, or just fun on your boat visiting Hoodsport, Tahuya, the Resort and more!). We have space to park your trailer.

Adorable canin
Cute house with gorgeous views. Deer walking in the yard and wildlife in the water! Close to town and national park, but far enough way to feel secluded.
