Dare Beach House Escape

Perfect for a family get away Dare Escape Beach House is ideally located in a quiet location in old Ocean Grove, close to everything: a cute dog friendly café around the corner, a short 8 minute walk to Ocean Grove beach or 3 minute walk to the river, and cafes and shops close by. This home sleeps 10, so ideal for one or two families, It is child and dog friendly, with a secure yard.

With its clever and practical design of two living spaces, a big deck, Wifi, TVs and guests love that there is plenty of room for everyone, providing a relaxed, no-fuss and comfortable holiday.

We also offer full refunds if your booking is cancelled due to Victorian Covid metro or regional restrictions.

Dare Beach House has 4 bedrooms, accommodating up to 10 guests. There are queen beds in three bedrooms, and the 4th bedroom two sets of double bunks. The bedrooms are supported by two bathrooms. Linen is provided and towels can be booked at an additional cost.

The practical kitchen is well fitted out with crockery, cutlery, glasses, dishwasher and microwave. There are two separate living areas with WiFi, TV, DVD, air conditioning/ heating unit, and outside there is a gas BBQ and outdoor furniture.

This is a great beach house for a short week-end stay or an extended holiday break.

Dare Beach House is also a great location to explore nearby Barwon Heads, wineries and other attractions of the Bellarine or the Great Ocean Road.

Excellent, almost perfect. Murray was easily contacted and responded quickly to a minor concern. A 5 star property, except cleaning could have been more diligent (no visit to National Park on this visit to OG). Pet friendly, a great yard also utilised by entire family (including grandparents and children). Highly recommend.

Murray's house was perfect for our group of 10 (4 adults, 6 kids), and bonus being able to bring our two dogs. Its walking distance to both the beach and the river, and a perfect front yard for the kids to play in. We will be back!

Great location but had to vacate because of mice faeces found in bed.

We were disappointed to leave the house due to an infestation of mice. The locality of the house was ideal and it was comfortable and user friendly. The host was helpful and gracious about the situation in which we found ourselves.

Quiet and family friendly!

Murray was a fantastic host. Check in was simple. We had plenty of room for 3 couples and 3 children, and one single! Quiet property 2 mins from ocean grove centre. Clean property with all necessary requirements for children and adults. Family friendly with plenty to do- the board games were a hit. Easy walk to the Garage Cafe! Thanks Murray!

A home away from home.

This holiday house was the absolute best! The 4 bedrooms gave the kids the space to chill out after spending too much family time together. The beach was so close you could hear it. Two living areas meant that the kids could play the Switch while I watched movies. The beds were comfortable, and the bedrooms were clean. Two toilets with so many bums in one house were very convenient. The location of the house was prime position, close to shops, Coles and the RSL (which had amazing meals and family friendly). The variety of games, books and DVDs was amazing. Even introduced the kids to some older board games which I hadn't seen in years. The main living room had plenty of space for us all to have a movie night and the couches comfortable. The outdoor area was secure for our dog and the fake grass was awesome for the kids to play barefoot. This whole week was fantastic and I will definitely be booking again in the future.

great place for a family holiday

we wanted a place for our adult children to join us for a holiday. this place was fantastic for the following reasons- great central location, generous spaces for all of us and two living rooms and two bathrooms - really helpful for the six adults in our party. house is very well stocked with everything you could need and has space for dining and relaxing both inside and outside. Beds and couches are very comfortable and this property is an easy walk to shops , river and beach. communication with the host was excellent and entry to the property simple. This is a warm, comfortable holiday property with ample space to relax while exploring all the area has to offer.

Simple Beach Living

We stayed for a week after Easter 2024 having previously stayed in 2023. Weather was not kind but we still managed some beach time. Property is well located - under15 min walk to beach or 10 min to city centre. Two bathrooms and toilets along with two lounge areas made for easy family living. Crockery and cookware is fine for simple meals but not for serious cooking. A modest home, secure yard, makes for a relaxing holiday.

Labour weekend visit
