"Spacious hotel in a quiet neighborhood and reasonable priced. That is the positive. However, the rooms were dusty, there was lack of utensils, dish soap but no sponge, washer had no dryer function, no front desk service and everything just looked dated."

"Great location and excellent customer service from the front desk staff. They helped us book a taxi and restaurant reservations in advance, and they were incredibly friendly throughout our stay. This was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. We upgraded to a three-bed room, and it was very spacious and comfortable. I will definitely come back to this hotel when visiting Kyoto again. Thank you for the wonderful stay! "

"Everything about this hotel was wonderful. We stayed in a classy king room. It was spacious with the best shower I’ve experienced in a hotel. The location is perfect. It’s near the main shopping area but also has Pontocho alley right in front of the hotel where you can experience the traditional Japanese restaurants in the older part of town. It’s easy to get around with buses and subways nearby. Kyōto station is about a 10 minute bus ride away or a taxi ride (approximately 2000 yen). The breakfast was lovely too and the staff were friendly and polite. They have a small gym with two treadmills, a cross trainer and two bikes but no weights. Mats are provided. It’s basic but clean and functional. Highly recommend. I would stay there again. "
