Just a 2 minute walk to the local pub, the Harbour Bar and the Quayside restaurant / takeaway where you can enjoy their award winning Fish and Chips. At the top of the steps (33 in total) there is a village shop for your last minute essentials and a post office. Aberdeen is a 25 minute drive to the north and Dundee a 40 minute drive to the south with many small fishing villages in between. Just meters from the harbor the property provides clean and comfortable accommodation. As you enter the property the hallway (right) leads to the living room which provides 2 large sofas and an armchair, there is a wall mounted TV with SKY and internet TV. The hall way (left) takes you to the kitchen / dining room which lends its self to a large dining room table and chairs suitable to sit up to 8 people. Again, there is a wall mounted TV with SKY and internet TV. The kitchen has a dishwasher. At the other end of the kitchen is the utility area, this lends its self to a washer/dryer, wine cooler, Nespresso coffee maker and microwave with additional cupboard space. There is a newly fitted downstairs family bathroom with a large bath, WC, sink and Shower which leads off of the utility space. On the first floor there is a large double aspect master bedroom, this room provides a king size bed, large wardrobe with full length mirror, a chest of 3 draws and 2 bedside cabinets. The second bedroom, again large in size provides 2 single beds, a chest of 3 draws and a bedside cabinet. There is a second newly fitted shower room and WC on the second floor. On the second floor there are a further 2 bedrooms, one to the right provides a king-size bed, wardrobe and bed side cabinets. One to the left, 2 single beds, wardrobe and bedside cabinet. The check in process was well communicated and simple and although we had some issues with the heating this was promptly dealt with by the owners and did not affect our stay. There was plenty to entertain our young grandsons in the surrounding areas including a lovely farm and a beach less than 20 minutes away. The local eateries, which are only a few minutes walk from the house, were just great and very child friendly.All in all we had a great stay at this house in Gourdon and would totally recommend to future guests. ##### June F. The house was perfect for 5 work colleagues for a weekend away. The house was immaculate, warm, the beds were so comfy and we loved the cosy living room and the large kitchen area with a long dining room table was great for gathering round for meals and playing games (which were provided)! No hair dryers though! The area is lovely for exploring the north east. We drove to Stonehaven which is not far and enjoyed one of the many cafes. Wir nutzten auch die Waschmaschine und den Trockner, was während einer Rundreise sehr praktisch war. Das Restaurant Quayside ist absolut empfehlenswert, wir orderten online. Das einzige, was wirklich sehr störend war, war das Gekreische der Möwen... ab 3 Uhr nachts schreien sie ununterbrochen direkt auf dem Haus und in den umliegenden Gärten. We enjoyed the proximity to the water and to the two restaurants near the water. The property suited us well--we enjoyed playing cribbage at the dinner table and watching TV in the living room. It was helpful having one bathroom on the first floor and the other bathroom on the 2nd floor. The cottage is easily the prettiest on the harbour and surpassed our expectations as the pictures do not do it justice. So tastefully decorated, calming and fully equipped with everything you might need. The cafe, chip shop and restaurant are a mere hop, skip and jump from the front door, offering a warm welcome and good food. I’m just sorry we couldn’t stay a while longer… ##### Karen W.
