Park Plaza London Westminster Bridge

10/10 Excellent

"Although a bit expensive the staff was amazing and a very good location especially for a 2 day stay"

Royal Garden Hotel

8/10 Good

"Good hotel, but check your bill carefully! The hotel itself was very good and in an excellent central location. My wife and I stayed with a group of friends after attending an event nearby, and we were perfectly happy with our stay — until breakfast the following morning. This is where things became disappointing. Our bill stated a 12.5% service charge, yet we were also charged an additional £3.50 per guest — £21 in total — even though our guests had already paid for their breakfasts separately. I find this extremely misleading. If a charge is described as 12.5%, then that is what a customer reasonably expects to be charged. Adding further charges without making them absolutely clear is, in my view, deceptive and leaves a very poor impression. It’s a shame because we genuinely liked the hotel. My advice: enjoy your stay, but check your bill very carefully before paying."

Moxy London Piccadilly Circus

8/10 Good

"This hotel is in a central location. Rooms in excellent condition as they were refurbished in 2025. I had breakfast for the five days of my stay. As I have certain dietary needs, they couldn’t accommodate them all . An example is a fruit salad. I can’t do citrus fruits and I asked if they could give me some melon/grapes/Apple . The member of staff replied it comes already made up. Thought this was quite poor. So no fruit for me."

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Monkhams?

Monkhams is a lovely destination year-round, but the best time to visit is typically during the late spring to early autumn months, from May to September, when the weather is at its most pleasant.

During these months, you'll experience warmer temperatures and longer daylight hours, which are ideal for exploring the outdoor attractions Monkhams has to offer. This period is superb for enjoying leisurely strolls through Epping Forest, visiting the various local gardens, or taking part in outdoor events that often take place during the summer.

For those who enjoy a quieter visit and don't mind cooler weather, late autumn (October and November) can also be a good choice. The changing leaves in Epping Forest are particularly beautiful, and there are often fewer visitors, allowing for a more serene experience.

Can I cancel my hotel reservation on Expedia?

Many Expedia hotel reservations are refundable, provided that you cancel before the hotel's cancellation deadline – this is often within 24-48 hours of your scheduled arrival. If you have a non-refundable booking, it might still be possible to receive a refund if you cancel it within 24 hours of booking. Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy. For maximum flexibility, use our "Fully refundable property" filter during your search to find the right Monkhams hotel for you.

How much is the nightly rate at a Monkhams hotel?

Hotel prices in Monkhams often vary, but you can find a great deal on Expedia. Different factors affect nightly hotel rates, such as the time of year or the days of the week you want to book. To find the best deals for your stay, be flexible with your dates, and sort search results by "Price: low to high" for our cheapest rates.
