Property location is magnificent and it could be a fabulous resort/use to be. They need to refurbish and put some money into the building, guest rooms, exterior & interior and do a complete overhaul on staff besides the bartender in the falcon bar and waitress (Jaiden and Paige) were phenomenal, can’t recommend them enough.

Liked: Amenities
The pool was not heated but great size. There were no pool towels available. Rooms were great size. The property needs an update. Water pressure and soaps were great!
Very disappointed with our stay. I stayed at the Equinox multiple times in the 1990s and always loved it. It was a fabulous property with a great staff and great services. I was excited to return after many years and wanted to share the Equinox with my wife and daughter. I booked on Expedia, choosing very specifically a large room with two queen beds. We were three; my wife and I and our adult daughter. Upon check-in we were assigned a suite with one king bed. I explained our need for two beds and was told that they could not change the room as the hotel was full and the room was booked as a single king. I asked to speak to a manager, and he was very condescending and not helpful at all. I asked if we could get a rollaway and he said yes. He said they were outstanding quality rollways. He did not charge us for the rollaway. The rollaway had dirty sheets and felt like the springs were about to poke through. The housekeeper asked why we didn’t just use the sofa sleeper? We were not made aware there was a sofa sleeper. They did bring sheets etc. for the sofa sleeper, but did not remove the rollaway, so we spent the entire stay with a huge unneeded rollaway in the room.
The room was dirty, especially the bathroom, and needed a paint job. The entrance to the building was dirty and needed a paint job. The doorframe looked damaged. The room was really uninviting; it had a huge empty space in the bedroom, and absolutely no décor. In the living room there were two small photos. It
Ethan was top notch at our check in with hospitality. Tino at Marsh Tavern was super kind at breakfast. Love the history of the Equinox. It’s a historic hotel, so don’t expect a contemporary pristine brand new place.
The hotel is gorgeous with its authentic charm. A disappointment to us was the high amenity fees and no time to use them with the hot tub and pool closing at 8 pm. We tried to use the bikes, but the handle bar broke and so did the chain. We ended up having to drive back and forth to bring it back from down the street in the back of our jeep. Bycycles need brakes and attention.
We did enjoy our stay at the Equinox. Just wish the amenities had worked out better.

Hotel is in a great location, the views are beautiful but the hotel itself is in need of a major refresh.
The outdoor patios and entrances are structurally suffering and pose a tripping hazard & quite frankly a liability. The rooms are outdated, the furniture needs to be upgraded, the bathrooms need a major overhaul. Items are broken and in need of repair, drains don’t work, soap holders falling off wall, door stops broken, lighting dim and outdated. It would be nice if the hotel took some of the ridiculous fees they charge on top of their already high room rates and invested them back into the hotel itself.
The bartender in the falcon bar (Jayden) was great! Friendly attentive and kind. The food at Marsh Tavern was great too!
The front desk staff is not friendly and actually downright rude when you question anything. The property use to be so upscale and feel special while having an old time historic feel, but now it just feels run down and in need of some major refurbishing.
I saw this old email and realized i never responded... The Equinox is a special place! We always enjoyed everything about it. The Equinox was a must when my mom and I came to Manchester, VT. -- we so enjoyed the food and atmosphere in the Marsh Tavern, My mom especially your home made soups. It was such fun for us! Everyone there made our trips to the Equinox
special. I am forever grateful for such wonderful memories, especially now that my mom is gone. Thanks to everyone at Equinox.
Note: my mom was in a wheelchair most of the time. The Equinox staff always made it easy for us to get to where we wanted to go and made sure our rooms were comfortable to get into and out of in the chair and enough room to store the chair off to the side in the room. Also, my mom did not want handicap rooms...
